Maybe nothing. MadP thinks these cases are all a way of running down the legal insurance fund so that Hope has nothing left to draw on. It may also be window-deressing for the Georgians. Zaza needs to be side-lined in the short-term for political reasons. Or, either Steve or Zaza have not been playing straight with each other and have fallen out. This interpretation seems unlikely given how pally they have been right up to the vineyard tour. Who knows? On the surface it looks a total mess but maybe all is not what it seems.
Where is this money coming from ?
I really want to believe that we are about to start supplying Europe with gas but the image of Steve hiding behind his sofa in Houston when lawyers were knocking on the door last year is hard to square with this big geo-political juggernaut. I'd love to be happily surprised.
That's another optimistic interpretation, MadP. Political window-dressing from Zaza. I really hope you are right. From an outsider's perspective it just looks like a fiasco but maybe there is method to this madness.
That's optimistic, Phil ! This company just keeps on turning the knife. Zaza taking FRR to court ! Who could have seen that ? He was wine tasting in Georgia with Steve N a year ago. It's a huge mess and it makes no sense. Dustin's back and Zaza is accusing FRR or fraudulent behaviour. What's going on ? I wish I had your confidence, Phil.
Thanks for the reality check. Can’t say I’m splitting my sides, either.
If this is true (I’m not on LinkedIn so can’t check) and Dustin is now a director and Ivanishvili is out of politics and worried that his assets in America might be seized, then circumstantially, at least, things are looking up. Can anyone provide more details of Nicandros’s proposed trip to Georgia? Just hope he’s has his vaccination!
Outrider seems to be mired in court cases left, right and centre. How is the fund surviving? Do they have Kazakh backers? Surely Hope will want to salvage something from his war with FRR ? If Outrider is seriously distressed, FRR have a better chance of reaching a compromise solution with them. This has been one almighty game of chicken !
Good points, Freeatlast. Dustin's job was done - at that point. Levan and Zaza have disassociated themselves from the company to avoid court proceedings. It's a quagmire for sure. Let's hope all this cloak and dagger behaviour succeeds.
Thanks Mole.
Are we to assume Dustin Aro is now on the ground in Georgia ? Is there evidence for that ? And has Zaza been sidelined for political and legal expediency ? Or is there a bigger fall out with Steve N over strategy? Hard to believe he is not still involved behind the scenes.
I must say, despite Aro's confident and professional demeanour at the shareholder presentation, I was worried when he abruptly left the company shortly afterwards and wondered if he had been duped into putting a positive spin on things for shareholders. His return is very encouraging. If the past two years have been a tortuous political and legal stand-off then perhaps we are close to a resolution. As always, clear as mud but there are signs of a way forward. GLA
Sorry for the rewritten post. The first one didn't appear for a while.
He may have to accept shares. Not sure there is any cash. Aro is a young guy with fracking expertise who set up his own consultancy shortly after leaving his FRR contract. He must see a future in the company. Even if his appointment as a director is only window-dressing, it is window-dressing for a purpose. Hard to see him being involved if this is a non-starter.
Not sure they have any cash. He might have to accept shares if he sees a future for the company. Even if his appointment is window-dressing, it is window-dressing for something. Aro set up his own consultancy shorty after leaving his contract with FRR. He's a young guy with fracking expertise. He must see a good opportunity with FRR US. Let's hope there's still a glimmer of opportunity for us.
I spoke to Dustin at the investor meeting and he seemed genuine. He was very excited about Frontera's prospects and was super-confident about the geology - which is why it was such a surprise when he disappeared. I guess politics started to get in the way. If he's back, he knows what's down there. Hard to believe he would return simply to do another PR round for the company.
His return is as remarkable as his earlier disappearance. And now he's a director ???? Whatever next? This has to be a positive sign but what the f*ck is happening is anyone's guess.
Aussie, where did you see that Dustin bought that amount of shares? I thought he only had a few thousand pounds worth.
This is happening today. Frontera back on the offensive.
Gotreal, your two questions get to the heart of this mystery. Why is the fight continuing and how is the fight continuing ? Our window of time in which to raise money to develop this field or sell it on (even if those two options exist) is shrinking week by week and the court cases are extending well into 2021. As always, nothing adds up. Hard to to see how any of us get a return from this - but, then again, it's hard to see or understand anything in this tortuous fiasco.
Sorry - not delisting - striking off
IF FRR are playing a game of bluff with Hope, no wonder we are kept in the dark. We all fully expected delisting today. Probably Hope did too. Not excusing the radio silence but this seems to be high stakes poker.
