with a staff of 200 plus (apparently) we would expect multiple concurrent workover operations, some small some big. All are worthwhile and contribute to the whole picture. If not, what are they doing till this rig arrives ?

very true. Presumably they are still working on them , even though MP has left.

They need more pumps, more experimentation with placing...… Its also a matter of showing they are beginning to come to grips with the complex geology and are solving some problems like sanding

If success at a well like Z21 means 200-300 bopd there is no reason that also cant be achieved across half a dozen shallower wells with ESPs. It would also be an achievement, boosting morale

Maybe somebody will take a position on this, bet the farm on ZEN. SP should drift upwards but there is no prospect for news for a while.

David Sadoway is joining effective 1 September. I assume thats the month that ZEN takes delivery of its rented rig. So with 2 -3 weeks for setup time, I would guess its late September before we get some results from finishing Z21. 2.5 months ZEN time.

The positive aspect is we will be getting some serious handholding from BW Robotics, with input from their technicians. According to AC, David Sadoway will be **coordinating** the work programmes, which in my opinion is downgrading the position of Operations Manager.

Other work on pumps and workovers may continue. but past form indicates no prospect of breakthrough here.

This is all what we have come to expect . The concern is ZENs cashflow and will they last the course. AC's buying shares and averaging down is great but he doesnt seem to be a strategic thinker

orjones: good find and thats a good sign. looks like he was hired in October last year when Z21 erupted. Possibly he was the person behind some of the new deeper geological structures to target with drills. Should have been done in the previouos year but there you go

they ordered a Blow Out Preventer for Z21 that hasn't been used. They have also ordered miles and miles of pipe that is presumably just sitting there

the company have emphasized this new guy's roughneck background which IMO is a different strategy. But who is to say MP had the appropriate technical background. I think that technical insight should be provided by a person with a scientific background, someone like a geologist . Hopefully that is what the company is considering

Alternatively I was wondering what MP was doing these last few months. There didn't seem to be much for him to do, Most of the work will be production. The technicians at BW robotics will help setup the new rented rig. Perhaps some additional consultancy support could be arranged when it was needed

Suspect the failure of the Z21 strategy to date was blamed on MP or they had heated arguments to that effect. MP probably says it failed due to inadequate equipment and who is to say he is wrong. But that reflects poorly on the Zen BOD. Anyway these things happen all the time

Regarding the INDO assest, not surprised to see problems with the deposit being returned. The Indos arent fools either, they can see the SP collapse and suspect the discrepancies are more apparent that real. Who is to say - any thats the price of AC's irrational exuberance

The lack of news about this A100 mounted rig is concerning. Its locally sourced so there shouldn't be any delay . Of course ZEN will say they were waiting for some equipment to fit on it. But what rigs are they using right now?

Way I see it there is production staff and workover staff. The workovers seem to have dried up at the moment, so what are the workover people doing ?
