whatever good news, its impact will be diluted by this placing overhang of unknown magnitude. Now that they have announced it they have to get it out of the way

I guess potential placing has to turn into an actual placing. Cant have a potential placing hanging over us, and better get it out of the way

Its possibly a sizeable one if they are gonna purchase the BQ500 rig. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to be in production which means it will take a year for delivery. Maybe there is a working example they can refurbish

If ZEN is sure of its strategy now it would be better to rent but who knows . roll on Monday

the 2nd August RNS announced a placing for £1.19 million which was earmarked for:

"The Company, as announced on August 1, 2019, intends to use the proceeds of the Canadian Placing to fully fund the execution of well deepening operations in wells C-37 and C-30 of the Jafarli field."

Its fair to say that a placing wasn't expected till C30 atleast completed. Nobody said he had to use his own money, that is a non sequitur

the placing is at NOK 0.35 which is 2.9p. What ever the Norwegian bourse was trading , it should equalise over time. there should not a differential

Its odd to state the price but not the amount

which ever way you spin it, its at a discount to the current bid. So the Private investor aint doing ZEN any favours, despite having a good look at the books

AST is failing becasue of government hostility / indifference, and it doesnt have the capital to bid for new interesting projects. I'm not sure what your friend could add tbh, he would no doubt be of help if AST had a big wad of cash

If AST had made bad decisions, I suspect they were made a long time ago and are difficult to reverse in the present context...
