Defo think the market is ebbing to a no deal. On the plus side I cannot see the SP dropping beow £1 if a no deal is announced. Then expect a steady climb back

LBE should easily double near term with the right news flow and who knows further out. It could be £5 if all goes to plan based on full 10% carry and success at big K. Never mind any DRO bolt ons

Claims in the Telegraph said Miliband overruled officials at the regulator to stop a “small number” of existing applications to explore areas in the North Sea.

Sources close to government have denied it has intervened in the NSTA process.

It was suggested the government could face legal action from applicants who would have invested millions in the process of applying.

Industry regulator launched its 33rd North Sea licensing round in October 2022 in the brief reign of Prime Minister Liz Truss.

The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) received applications from 76 companies and has awarded several licences to drill since.

However, it has been suggested a number of these were outstanding when Labour won the UK general election in a landslide.

A statement issued by Miliband’s spokesman on Wednesday seemed to repeat previous statements of Labour policy in the run up to the election.

“We will not issue new licences to explore new fields, and will not revoke existing oil and gas licences. We will manage existing fields for the entirety of their lifespan.”

Lol, if it was near gaurenteed it would be at 130. The SP indicates it may or may not happen. Its a low ball offer, but could be the best they are going to get. There has been planty of opportunity for others to show their hand, but you never know

Norge is now expensive , cannot see a move there on favourable terms or boosting sentiment - Asia/Africa production would be my favoured choice. Qu is how long will we need to wait until positive action 3mths, 6mths maybe longer, who knows

Think there are a few posters on other boards who dont think the trading update is financially detailed enough. Growing but profitability & interest seem to be areas of interest
