The question is why did Exxon choose to drill that well first, so close to home. Maybe no reason, but interesting. If you invest in a load of infrastructure you would want to maximise that return from a single location. Add in the tax incentives Exxon have, where Guyana are actually paying Exxon to drill. Dont get me wrong Guyana will make �B over time. But Exxons terms are most generous. Now is that yet another reason to expand in these Guyanan waters??

Mani01 - If there is selling pressure on TSX, the SP will not rise independently on LSE the pricing is inextricably linked (inc currency swings) . So a large TSX seller will impact LSE prices. Why is it obvious that something is going on in the background

looks like now is time to FYB and stop trying to get the SP down. You will be in danger of missing the boat. All looks good to me for near term uplift in the SP.

It will be interesting to see how Namibia plays out, so far its been a dud. However 3D tech has moved on and there is more data after the HRT drills a few years back where non commercial deposits were found. Geology says there must be oil there, just nobody has found any yet commercial amounts. I would be more than happy to let others drill first and learn more before fully committing. Think CHAR may be next to drill.........and soon based on info from the CHAR thread

Regardless of the RNS statement. Operationally if the data, or a certain amount of data is ready to share why not share it to get the ball rolloing as oppossed to waiting. We already have a binding agreement (I assume binding)

Not sure why Pacora-1 result would have a vast impact for Total. I assume they have agreed terms and eco will not be able to change these, based on another explorers success or otherwise. Or do you think Exxon will swoop down if successful. Again we dont know the legalities of the current Total agreement and neither will Exxon

As we are updip, does anyone know what the source rock permeability is on the Exxon discoveries. This could have a significant impact on our COS IMHO

Exciting times indeed, if Exxon hit so close to us.........we know what the script will be. Perhaps Exxon will make a move before Total farm in and that the reason for picking the target they have done. All updip as well, could not be better for ECO

All eyes on Exxon then. Chances are we will get a sniff of Exxon news ahead of our Total decision. Having said that Ive no idea how tecnical the Exxon drill is or to what depth etc. Still way behind on the research :-(
