The problem is Saga only cater to the uk pensioner demographic. Whilst the other cruise lines cater mainly to US cruisers who have 50% higher disposable income. Therefore not easy for Saga to increase diems unless they abandon the uk market and start marketing to American cruisers.

The problem with travel is that it is extremely low margin business. Not worth the effort it compared to their cruising business.

This needs to go down to 30p before the cycle of life begins again. 90% down is what most of the recent IPOs have done, fundamentals don't matter.

Selling the high margin business to grow the zero margin part is a fools errand.

Tui is a basket case with too much debt. Similar to Saga but with too much operational leverage and a old fashioned business model. They make 1.3bn ebit on 23bn of revenue, that is a 5% net margin, not sure why they bother.
