I personally value Shakey's input, I think he/she is right about large investors liquidating their holdings (not just SDX btw) in advance of the potential bear market. No doubt missing the 8000 BOEPD EoY target has also contributed.
Regarding the original post, don't think those oil prices are too likely, so wouldn't see that as a factor. Especially given SDX's position with min 5 year fix price deals, and a portfolio increasingly towards gas. Also don't see US inflation as much of a risk, however devaluing of the dollar for other reasons is a fair point.
This is exactly the time you want to be investing in high cash, profitable companies operating in a safe jurisdiction with a CEO who has confirmed there won't be any cap raises for future work (excluding any acquisitions possibly). Keep it in low 40s for a while and i'll be moving a large chunk of my portfolio here.
