Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Hey all,
Not sure if people have seen this or not but just noticed that there are now some updated FAQ’s on the Valirx website ...
https://www.valirx.com/sites/default/files/2021-04/VALIRX%20-%20FAQ%20APR21%20%28FINAL%29.pdf
IAR, you may want to get yourself a new drum as you seem to have been banging the same one for a while now. Instead of moaning on, may I suggest you just read the previous RNS’s and shareholder communications:
Details of the overhead cuts and estimated combined salaries for Valirx staff were provided in the RNS on the 16th June 2020, see extract below:
“The Board estimates that basic remuneration for the Board, employees and consultants on a pro forma basis will be circa £300,000 p.a. with a headcount of 7, which is a considerable reduction from the last previously disclosed wages and salaries cost of in excess of £900,000 p.a. with a headcount of 11 as stated in the 2018 Annual Report and Accounts.”
LordSutch, the price has fallen as we are waiting on news regarding a deal for Val201 and maybe Val301 as well. A deal for either could happen at any point but personally I think it is more likely to be the end of Q1 that we get news but really hoping it will be sooner :)
To me those two RNS’s look like we are answering questions that have been raised during the due diligence process which is very positive as it means we are getting closer to finalising the deal :) the big and more exciting question is which deal were we answering questions for ... 201, 301 or both!!
Personally I don’t think there is anything to worry about as we went from 20p to 30p+ in only a few days so that kind of movement is always going to attract day traders who are looking for a quick profit. If you look at what happened before the last big rise, you got a few days where the price rose, then a few days where it consolidated before the price started rising again :) Also if you look at some of the trades today you will see some big buys happening which is good news as it means more shares in sticky hands that don’t want to sell!
Justice, the new board only came in last year and since then we have had plenty of good news from Suzy :) With regards to your placing worry, this is what Suzy said in the September Q&A release:
“As announced on 23 September 2020, the Company currently has approximately £2 million in cash. We have also significantly reduced our cash burn rate. The Company has no authority to issue further shares without shareholder permissions being granted at a General Meeting.”
So a placing won’t happen without shareholder approval :)
Justice, if is is going “back to its place again” then I am very happy with that as it’s place should be well into the high 50’s / 60’s without news anyway :)
Vicjain ... I think the price increase on Friday was caused by the positive price review that share talk did of us. They gave a price target of 0.45p :) the review is on the end of the video, link below:

threeturn, might I suggest a trip to specsavers if you didn't find anything in the RNS and shareholder communications ;) All joking aside, Val is a completely different beast now that Suzy and co are in charge, with one (possibly two) deals coming to fruition shortly:
Val201 - This is the key one as we know a deal will be happening. The December webinar noted that there are numerous interested parties (big and small pharmas) that are all trying to get a piece of the action. The main question here is what sort of a deal will we be get.
Val301 - This is under assessment by an unnamed Japanese pharma at present so it is possible that a deal could be made on this at any point.
I'd definately suggest you watch the webinar from December and re-read through the shareholder comminications that are on the Valirx website as they will give you the best insight into the above and also the other drugs within the Valirx portfolio (Val401, BC201 & KTH222)
Exciting time ahead :)
Any deal for 201 will raise investor confidence and in turn the SP. I’m really hoping we get a JV with one of the larger pharmas as the PR from that could provide a more significant boost to the SP than the deal itself!!
Hopefully we might get some news next week if Suzy does one of her monthly updates although not sure if we are definitely getting one or not ... does anyone know??
That’s true but when you look at the SP for other similar pharmas to us, then we should easily be in the 50p to 80p price bracket even without a JV on 201 or 301. As Iceman says, the 201 results prove that the treatment works and is ready to be taken to the next stage. The only thing missing is the media coverage.
Let’s hope today’s webinar gives us all some of the answers we are looking for :)
Forgot to say, all of the previous Q&A reports are available on the Valirx website if you want to see them for yourself :)
Stach, there is no chance of a placing anytime soon or without shareholder approval. See below, which is taken directly from the September Q&A report:
‘As announced on 23 September 2020, the Company currently has approximately £2 million in cash. We have also significantly reduced our cash burn rate. The Company has no authority to issue further shares without shareholder permissions being granted at a General Meeting’
George and the Alba BOD,
I know a lot of company directors read these boards, especially after the release of news. Therefore, if any of you are reading any of these chat boards then I am sure you can see that there are a lot of very nervous / disgruntled investors at the moment. Although the RNS regarding the gold find, within the drill cores, was very positive, the previous news regarding the very large share placing has done nothing but destroy investor confidence and the share price. Hopefully further news regarding the results of the bulk sampling and the arrival of the pilot plant will act as a boost to the share price; however, I feel a lot of investors would like you to address the elephant in the room (i.e. the share placing). All investors know the need for companies to raise funds and hopefully, once exercised, we will have plenty of cash to keep us going for a while. However, if there is any way you could release a statement or indication that you will not be doing any further placings for a set period of time or without shareholder consultation, then I believe this will have a very positive effect on both the share price and shareholder / potential investor confidence.
Together lets get Alba to where it deserves to be!
Rhubarbmk2, I think they only way Stach will come to the shareholder party is if we served sour grapes ;)
Let’s hope Suzy can give us an update on all of the exciting projects in the live webinar next week (fingers crossed).
From what Suzy has mentioned in the previous updates, there is already significant interest in 201 so I think it is a case of when and what sort of a deal we will get for that.
For me, I am really keen to hear any updates she can give us on 301 as I think that is the one that could surprise us all! We could get a deal on it tomorrow, next year or never so it is all to play for on that one :)
We have had two really positive RNS releases today (i.e. confirmation that 201 works and that Adam has increased his holdings) so my hope is that the SP will steadily build over the next few days once investors and interested parties have had time to digest the results. Next weeks webinar and any further information/answers within the (soon to be released) monthly Q&A report should hopefully help things along as well :)
Hi all,
The below is taken directly from the September Q&A report that is available on the Valirx website:
‘The clinical trial closedown process is ongoing, and full details of the results are still being assembled into the Clinical Study Report. When this report is complete, which is expected during Q4 2020, this will be submitted to the regulators, the MHRA, as part of the formal trial process. At this time, public databases, such as that held on clinicaltrials.gov will also be updated. If any items of particular general interest emerge from the data at this stage, they will immediately be released via a Company announcement, and disseminated through peer reviewed publication and presentations as appropriate.’
I haven’t seen anything that has been released since then that contradicts this so I would assume that the full results will be released by the end of the year. Hopefully the next Q&A report (due imminently) will give further details.
Hope this helps :)
In addition to what Bankfool rightly said (re 201 results are due by the end of the year), Suzy will also be releasing her monthly Q&A report at the end of the week. Hopefully this might give us some further updates regarding 301 and the Japanese pharma (fingers crossed anyway). Exciting times lie ahead :)
