yes, although if the offer is only £275m, surely the price limit would be about £1.05, unless someone somewhere knows it could go for more...

yeah it was £275m, therefore £1.06 a share... anything could happen, but I've seen around £2 suggested... realistic at this point is probably around £1.30 if bids did start to build. And as steptoes says, it probably will drift down again, let's hope on the 24th of next month we aren't all on here moaning about no takeover!

Is the takeover for the field including the field sold off to SONA excluding it? Whatever it is, really shouldn't be getting carried away with prices. Especially people who are looking to buy in. Quite a few, me included, bought on the last takeover talk, and when a deal doesn't go through, the downside is greater than the potential upside if it had gone through. good luck all in cutting losses, here's to losing less money. If £275m bid, share price should be worth about a quid. Directors would never accept at this price, but would be nice to see price at this level for a little while.

oil just seems to have hit a spike, if it hadn't this could easily have gone to 50p, you win some you lose some, and at this point, I think most of us have lost quite a bit still

why on earth would this make the share price have 15% off! everyday the buys and sells are even enough, and after the sona deal these must be valued at £1.60, so it just gets driven down and down

Even with oil price decline I would never have expected this to have gone anywhere near 80p! considering cutting losses at this point, because that bounce I've been expecting just hasn't come, and I'm getting more of a feeling that it won't! fair enough I might be taking a narrow minded approach, but this is falling at a ridiculous rate

well I hope not!:) and good point, although the share price reacted negatively to the sona deal because it basically meant no overall takeover, so surely if the sona deal was off, it is not all bad? But yeah, certainly could do with one or two explorations to get the share going again. On the subject of oil prices, well Brent Oil is at 85$ now, so it would seem 6/7% maximum fall, well you'd think!
