Fair enough. Definitely agree on your last point.
that's what I'm saying mate, 143p was a good price, so my personal opinion is the BoD are just looking after their own interests trying to cut their losses, which is of course understandable, but I like choppy says, this really has a massive lack of support once takeover talks diminish.
no, I've lost close to 30% now. What do you seriously expect for a takeover? £1.60+, you're dreaming mate. Choppy- be surprised to see an offer from Ophir now, although of course they may be tempted back in. Flanks- good post, you've summed it up nicely, poor oil prices are going to drag this down and down
CESPA made a decent offer, and it was understandable for them to want SONA deal involved. 121+up to 24p, I'd have taken £1.40 all day long, I'd have taken £1.20 all day long. Yeah this will look incredibly cheap, once it becomes clear all takeover is off, this will be straight back to 70p easily.
have suddenly disappeared, funny that
BoD wouldn't drop the SONA deal.. would be very surprised to see a quid again. Thoughts on tomorrow morning's opening price?
was thinking of jumping off the ship today, but got greedy as per usual hoping for a few more pence. This is going to get hammered tomorrow, whether Ophir are lurking or not. What a disaster of a share, and extremely poor dealings by the board. Batman, it seems you were right...
the broker rating is the price of the supposed offer, so it is understandable.
offer released without consent of CESPA, and CESPA could still not proceed with offer, oh
yes of course it was before, but there was uncertainty, whereas now, we know at least £1.20 is on the table with more to come and probably an ophir offer, even if rejected I'd expect more bids...
ophir
i quite like Friday's
what do you mean out of auction? and we'll next week is last chance for takeover, so almost now or never... 50% down to 15% down, would be nice to go the whole way!
all
IPOs always seem to rise a few percent on first few days of public trading, and then enter a free fall.
hello, 5% in 10 minutes...
in thinking this hasn't come on the public market yet, only private?
oil really is falling like a rocket right now, surely if it falls to such a low level opec won't have a choice but to reduce output or the governments of countries like Saudi just won't have enough cash coming in to support its spending... reckon $75 could be the low.
sub $81 hit today, was $85 just yesterday afternoon. I personally see oil sticking around $80-$85 for some time due to a few articles that I've read, but of course it could go a bit below. Therefore, am looking at one or two oil stocks, think there is a good opportunity here to jump on board whilst oil is low, but of course its very risky. Two weeks to go...
