Suspect or have proof? On what grounds do you suspect?

It's clear from the rns of Jan23 that on that project proposal Dyani have a clear and defined set of duties and are dealing direct with the Chinese Government. That would suggest Dyani are a separate entity and given the way the Chinese government works are most likely native to China.

Can Tang shaft GCM pi shareholders without shafting Dyani or Polo? Or the Bangladeshi lobbyists DG Infratech Pte Ltd? It would appear Dyani is the connection to China and is at the forefront of all the negotiations and collaborations with the Chinese government. Its unlikely Tang can simply steal the licence and go it alone without the Chinese. And without Dyani. Trading has been suspended on the back of withholding the Polo funds that already had a facility in place and that Tang controls anyway. Was that a convenient excuse to suspend trading? Does that keep the price static for possible behind the scenes negotiations or public announcements? If GCM was going under then would any of Tang's buddy's or even the lobbyists try to flog as many shares as possible prior to the suspension? There was no urgent sell off prior to the announcement - in fact it was the opposite, price rose significantly due to a high volume of buying. MMs were trying to bid for any amount of shares as well, instead of the usual no quote with this share. My guess is something significant could be happening behind the scenes. Guess we will find out either way over the next 3 weeks.

Dyani and Polo stand to lose far more than all of us.

Somebody has bought up all those sold on the back of the suspension RNS. Polo have loaned £3.1million. Are they really going to baulk at sending the remaining £400k loan to keep the company going until after the election and write off their £3.1m loan and share value investment.

The company expects the funding and accounting issues resolved in 3 weeks - and then the suspension will be lifted and shares can be traded again.

I wonder will a massive deal be done within them weeks? Without any noise? Who knows, but I know this much I'm keeping my shares right besides Dyani's and Polo's!

Polo was actually quite successful, it had made some good investments. Its NBV far outweighed its MC. Any success by GCM will massively enhance that. It is doubtful cash flow or providing the last of the drawdown is an issue.

Given Tang is ceo of Polo and also that Polo stand to gain the most from GCM getting approval both in the shares its already owns and its loan being converted to shares its extremely unlikely it will pull the rug on the last of the drawdown. Election January 2024. The last of the Polo drawdown will finance the company until Apr2024. Bangladesh only has enough ForEx dollars to last until Apr2024. After that no more coal or gas imports. Things are going to move fast in January for sure.

Well that's not true. People die protesting in Bangladesh regularly no matter what the subject. 5 workers died at a powerstation protest about not being paid their wages and the powerstation didn't get shut down Hasina cares little for public opinion. Indeed for the upcoming elections she is arresting her main opposition amid violent protests. The mine is not such a hot potato now as the locals are desperate for the life changing investment into the area. And the country is desperate for the coal. With the ForEx dollars running out, and coal debts mounting, Hasina has few other options to get coal.

Then there was a massive press conference announcing the GCM Powerchina partnership.

The Powerchina top brass were there - Ding Zhengguo, chairman of PowerChina International, said they were delighted to be a partner with GCM to deliver an integrated mine and power plant for the people of Bangladesh.

Massive project, China fully committed, massive rewards for Bangladesh.

5 years later and now look at the state Bangladesh is in. Lucky for Bangladesh Powerchina are still fully being the project............

Well according to the RNS confirming the MOU with the massive Chinese state owned Powerchina the terms are quite clear -

• GCM shall permit PowerChina to form an investment consortium with other investors acceptable to GCM;

• PowerChina will facilitate the inclusion of the Phulbari Coal and Power Project as a One Belt, One Road Initiative of the People's Republic of China;

Was the out of the blue and somewhat unnecessary RNS about the Polo funds not being paid yet, that dropped the price, and the subsequent out of the blue huge volume bought at the lower price connected? If it was connected then that is a massive indication that something positive is happening. Draw your own conclusions.

Remember the last big fundraise raised £2m at 5.14p and was mostly bought by company insiders. Significant that there was no fundraise this year just a drawdown of the last of the Polo loan to see the company through until March/April2024.

Bangladesh elections early January.

Bangladesh has enough ForEx dollars for 4 months import.

After April Bangladesh has no more dollars to import coal.

Where will it get the coal to run the coal powerstations it is already committed to with long term loans that need paying.

It is different this time Searcher - it really is the last chance saloon for both Bangladesh and GCM. If the status quo remains unchanged the Bangladesh economy collapses as does GCM. But surely with just 4 months ForeEx and credit lines all closed Bangladesh has to finally make a decision to dig the cheaper higher quality coal buried in their own back yard. No matter what they have to keep those newly built coal powerstations running. For the energy for the Bangladesh people and to make the build loan repayments. Does Hasina really have any other option?

They knew then what importing coal was doing to their foreign reserves. Now they have just 4 months of ForEx dollars left. Their problems have worsened but the solution is still the same. And still no decision? If they can no longer afford to import coal then where will they get the coal that they will still be desperate for?

The state minister (Nasrul Hamid) said: “If we are able to explore coal from our domestic resources it will save our foreign currency. Right now we are importing coal using foreign currency and besides our domestic coal quality is better than what we are importing now.

“We have made a plan, now the government has to decide whether it is feasible or not. If we can start exploring now, it will take at least four to five years to start mining from a coal field. We are thinking about how to expand coal mining in Bangladesh. Hopefully, we will make a decision regarding this by this year.”

3p now being paid. Circa £3 a share on approval. The last £2m fundraise was done at 5.14p taken by insiders - Polo, Dyani and the returning former major shareholder Kilkenny. The lobbyists DG Infratech look like they have also held onto all their share payments. They deal direct with the government so they know where the project is at and are holding.

Its not too late, there is plenty of profit to be made here on approval.
