I agree.

Either Lucan, Tidswell & chums are totally inept (hence 100% record of failure) or they have a master plan to take this private and recoup their losses?

Really makes you wonder? The truth will emerge in time... but my guess is it will be too late for shareholders :-(

I sold out my shareholding in my own account - at a loss - some time ago... but still have a holding in my wife's account. Although this was a smaller holding I figured better to play "in" & "out" just in case.

Last week, I sold off half of that holding at a greater loss too. I now have a modest holding left.

The only three outcomes I can see here are:

1) Angus will crash out or de-list before we see any recovery = 100% loss.

2) Angus will cling on until they cross all the hurdles towards production at Saltfleetby - "BUT" how much time & further dilution are we going to have to endure in the meantime?

3) A miracle happens and after their unbroken 100% record of FAILURE... Angus manage to achieve "something" / "anything" to add value to the SP and enable me to sell out at less of a loss. (I cannot "honestly" see this ever reaching 2p again... let alone my higher average... but less of a loss, is less of a loss I guess?)

Yanis... Yes, I know what's happening with UKOG...

...and shareholders can hardly have been celebrating - considering the dilution - and the fact that any good news is met by more RiverFort dumping into any rise. Despite considerable progress (seems UKOG at least have operational ability unlike ANGS) but the SP is still at a historic low - or hadn't you noticed?

I "genuinely" wanted Angus to succeed like anyone else here... but REALLY? Who can have any faith whatsoever left in them now!?!?

I would just be kidding myself to pretend there was even the remote chance of them coming good after their continuing 100% record of failure!

You need to read up on "Death Spiral Finance" & "RiverFort". Check them out on the Web. They make money as the SP drops... The clue is in the title: "Death Spiral"

I remain "genuinely" sceptical!

The BOD are just burying their heads in the sand IMHO. After all, Tidswell is especially gifted at that game.

Besides which... if they did the right thing and released an RNS now, then the SP would only crash further. They will probably tell us on Monday... after allowing RiverFort a chance to dump more shares first!

For a "very" long time now, Lucan, Tidswell & chums have been plugging the new Saltfleetby asset. It should come as no surprise to anyone here that another of our - supposedly valuable - Weald assets (Balcombe) has also now been kicked into the long grass together with Brockham... via a badly written planning application...

But don't worry long suffering shareholders... Saltfleetby will come to our rescue... "if" they get planning passed... "if" they can fill the forms in properly... "if" they can reconnect to the grid OK.... "if" they can find the funding to keep the lights on in the meantime... "if " they can prove that they are a going concern and can cover the cost of what appears now to be the abandonment costs for all their Weald Assets along with Saltfleetby in advance...

But don't worry, because according to their Home Page... Angus offer investment in "low-risk exploration opportunities that are cash flow efficient!"

How so many systemic failures can be brushed aside as a storm in a teacup is beyond me! Especially so - given Lucan's assurance that he was personally making sure that the submission was thoroughly checked... yeah... looks like he did a fine job there!

Bad enough for a company that has other performing assets or revenue streams... but for one already on life support through death spiral finance... this is just about as close to a terminal as it gets on AIM.

Time to wake up and face reality!

IMHO, there could still be more mileage here - might be wishful thinking on my part (after this morning's deflating RNS) but who knows? If another higher offer turns up... it would sweeten the deal for LTH's and if it doesn't... might as well wait for the full ask - which the MM's don't want to give anyone to sell right now!

Sit tight. It's a no brainer - IMHO!

I'm certainly not selling now... the MM's won't even give us near to the buy-out price yet... might as well wait and see if a counter offer emerges.

Lucan & Tidswell appear to be driving nails into ANGS coffin faster than the (remaining) gullible have time to press the buy button. I give this outfit until Christmas... maybe sooner if RiverFort see liquidity dry up fast enough to prevent them from dumping their remaining shares!

Since you are a beginner here, I'll grant you a free one... but "for the record" nobody cares about individual posters here or their motives...

what genuine investors care about is the management of the company itself & the performance of the SP as a result. You may not have noticed, but our management are utterly useless - either by intention or stupidity...

...Most LTH's here are simply trying to work out "which it is?"

Regardless of anyone's personal beef with Angus... if this company did things by the book, fulfilled on their promises and were reliable and trustworthy, I think you might find a lot less negative posts!

One thing is for certain:

Someone is certainly trying to suppress the SP!

Is it:

1) MM's Naked Shorting (again)?
2) Mr Beetham selling out after he's told everyone he was buying in (again)?
3) Newcrest trying to keep GGP at a manageable price point for a takeover bid?
4) II's given the nod that another placing may land before the next meaningful Havieron news?
5) II's bailing out because they know the hot season is coming and we ain't going to see any upward SP movement until well into next year now?

What I do know is that there was a time when the SP would rise on good news. This was replaced by a time when the SP would spike briefly on good news. This was replaced by a time when the SP fell flat on good news. Now we are in a time when the SP sinks on good news. God help us all if any bad news lands here!

Time to go back into hibernation mode. Nothing short of a full buyout will change ANYTHING here :-(

I suggest a re-write for the Anguish Energy web site:

"We are a team of industry amateurs with a proven track record of operational failure and fiscal impropriety..."

Any news which could have an adverse effect on an investment "should" be promptly notified via official RNS. No room for doubt there.

As a direct consequence of this management's latest FAILURE we now can look forward to:

1) further delay for Balcombe.
2) Requirement of re-submission of plans / adjustment / amendments / further tests / further ground work in general...
3) More cost as a consequence of points 1 & 2!

Not great for a company already running on fresh air and jam tomorrow empty promises!!!
