Ask Graftman
Don't feel too bad - you might have discovered it when it was over five quid.
Was thinking of doing likewise. Can't help believing you've called it right. I can't see that there's anything new about mml that we didn't already know and the current surge is purely down to the Ukraine situation. I fear that once everyone realises that Vlad ain't gonna nuke Barack we'll be back to roughly where we were a week or so back. Will be over the moon if I'm wrong as I have a whole load of losers to back at Cheltenham next week.
Know exactly how you feel. It's like every time I get on that p**y M25. The lane I'm in ain't moving, so I switch into one of the lanes that is, then that lane stops and the one I've just left takes off. With your luck, do us all a favour and don't get back in.
Nah - Ukraine
Subject to both jumping round, I see Bobsworth outbattling Silviniaco up the hill but, with that proviso, can't see either BB or Silviniaco out of the three and, even at today's prices, an ew double returns a 20% profit. I know Zarkander's not top class, but he is a very good horse at 2.5 miles and, having watched Annie Power surge away from him up the run-in the other day, I can't believe she won't be even better over three mles. However, having backed him so many times over the years, I can't desert Big Bucks.
Jeez - I'm impressed! Agree entirely re Quevega. Our Conor looked like turning over H.Fly last time and so impressive last year. It was 8/1 a while back but now down to 9/2 - missed the boat on that one. I made Big Bucks nailed on until they decided to run Annie Power here. Walsh knows Big Bucks like the back of his hand and, of all Annies options, decides to take him on. Silvinaco - going well when tipping up last year, but I've never backed a horse against Bobsworth and, as far as I'm aware, nothings ever beaten him up the hill. Told everyone on this site a while back that, at 5/2 he was better value than mml - reckon he's a jump round job. but if I don't win, I hope you do. GL
Looks like the Ukraine situation is going to greatly calm down. As long as it was just people making noises and no violence, we could have done with the argy bargy going on a bit longer. Alas, I fear that the pog will now recede and we'll find the sp back around 115 by the end of next week. I was tempted to cash some in at 128 thinking that I could buy back in cheaper - damn and blast. By the way - anyone got any bets for Cheltenham?
Reckon you're right. I thought it was only the Russian billionaires and you that could afford London prices. Apparently, the Russian Ambassador was summoned to be given the "strongest possible protest". Went something like "look here Sergei old chap, all of this Ukraine business is simply not cricket". Sergei reckons "if that's your attitude, gimme back my wodka and caviar", to which our bloke responds "now now Sergei, let's not do anything rash"
Regardless of what you think about the Ruskies being in Crimea, it was interesting to listen to Bill Haigue going on about all of the possible sanctioins and actions by the international community and the dire consequenscies for Russia. Can just see China and Germany joining in can't ya. Bet old Vlad's shaking in his boots.
As usual Graftman, reckon you've got it right - down to the Ukraine situation. Problem is, once it sorts itself out - which it will do - won't the sp drop back down. Let's face it, Ukraine ain't gonna declare war on Russia and, apart from making the usual noises, the West, quite rightly, won't get involved. In any case, since the vast majority of the Ukrainiians getting their wish to be alligned with Europe was demcracy, doesn't it follow that the Crimeans, who are mainly Russian speaking, have the same rights. By the way, saw your suggestion that the other contributor should take the profit on NYO. Spot on, as usual - it's gone from nearly 70 to 45. Thinkin' of giving you Power of Attourney over my mml holding.
Problem with mml is that it has, for a long time, been steady as she goes - DOWN. I remember one contributor saying that he was about to top up if the sp dropped to 400. I often reminisce with him about those days when he sells me a Big Issue outside tescos.
Always enjoy your contributions. Would love to have some cash to have ready - wanna buy a jag? if so, bring petrol. My problem with mml is that "jam tomorrow" seems to have been the order of the day for far too long, but hope you're right.
Is this enough to drive you bonkers? Back on January 13th pog was 1248 and the sp touched 127. Here we are today with pog at 1312 and the sp sitting at 111.00. Seems to me that, as feared, all of the entusiasm about the new mill had already been factored into the price long ago. If anyone still thinks that 150 or even 200 is conceivable in the foreseeable future, I'd be interested to hear what, apart from a massive jump in pog (which doesn't look like coming ) is likely to bring that about. By the way, I'd be delighted to be wrong - I'm sitting on this at an average of about 250.
An' another thing. Why is it that I type my comments in proper sentences, yet they always appear looking like they're supposed to be a poem?
Thanks for the extract from the article. Problem is nobody seems to have read it. Been reading all these glowing comments for too long now, but fact is now with the new mill and various big investors jumping in, here we are this morning at 112. This share should be on Strictly Come Dancing, all we seem to get is two steps forward, one to the side and two steps back. Mind you, well done the guys who are wise enough to keep cashing in after the two steps forward.
Yeah, my thoughts entirely! Loadsa good news from 2crazy4u, so I'll put off topping m'self till next week. Would point out though that on Jan 6 pog was only 1240 and the sp was over 120. No rhyme or reason that I can see as to how this sp performs.
'eard that before at bigger prices than this
Only if RRL comes with a LOW MAINTENANCE blonde
Female - VERY Looks like that stunner on Strictly - only bigger Do I hear 117?
