Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
Interesting few posts. Could you please enlighten us as to how you arrived at the figure of a minimum of £2.40 ? I am sure I a lot of people would be very interested in the your calculation as the notional SOTP value does seem vary from one person to the next. Thanks in advance
I strongly dislike the hyperbole used by the press, THG are reducing jobs, their not slashing their workforce. Any large business has a natural cycle of increasing and reducing headcount and this a reduction, nothing more. I would like to think that all the people laid off will quickly find another job.
Crafty please do every THG shareholder a favour and pass this on to who ever pays you in the hope it reaches MM. Thanks in advance

I think I'm in the same boat as many on here. I have been up by a good amount and I am now I'm in negative territory. Anyone who has read my posts knows I wish Moulding would go but that's wishful because he will have to be forced out. I'm hanging on in until I see the results in April, I fully expect the usual mix of positive & negative, all wrapped up in Mouldings self praise. Right now I and many others are in that "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.
Hi LD1973 that's a fair question so here's my thoughts for what they are worth. RNS should be well considered and approved by the BOD before being released, that's the convention and Moulding hates the city's rules and regulations, hates convention and that is why I think he issues more LinkedIn posts than any UK CEO - if there are others please let me know.
We also know he is vain, thin skinned and a control freak, for example his mum having a go at the press, his Pac Man move on Kelso , his purchase with our money of City AM etc. This is a man-child who is desperate to be thought of as a visionary CEO, a man child who wants and needs a positive image so any alternative platform to do any of the above is an opportunity he will struggle to resist.
The frequency of Crafty's post, the vast range of THG posts and the very repetitive Moulding style of messaging bashing the city could be just an unfortunate coincidence but I doubt it. Unlike Crafty I am happy to leave to you to take your own view.
My view is simple, Moulding did a great job in floating the company at a sky high value but since the float he has increasingly struggled to deliver what's required and if he was a decent grounded person he would either hold his hands up and acknowledge he is not cut out to run a quoted business and either take it private or sell up and move on to another project away from the glare of public scrutiny
Good morning Crafty I have your number. Your lobbying efforts are paid by a combination of the number of posts and the word count. So you saturate this board with Matts propaganda and when people inevitably become tired of your/Matts drum beat you post something a bit more challenging or a bit more controversial and people respond and your "pay day circle" continues so I have decided I am not going to rise to bait, I am going to do my best to ignore you and your paymasters propaganda and focus my precious free time on the posts of people who aren't paid to be on
If only. Unfortunately in the UK the "pigs with their snouts in the trough" are rich, powerful and have huge influence.
For example Crispin Odey is an old school chum of Boris's and contributed to both the Brexit campaign from which he made a fortune by betting on sterling crashing which it subsequently did, he also contributed to Boris's campaign to be become the PM. Then you have another of Boris's chum's the deceitful Jacob Rees-Mogg who to the best of my knowledge has never done an honest days work in his life preferring to earn a large annual income through the hedge fund he founded. I could go on and on but there's no point. The people in power and their friends are doing well out of this "financial engineering" and whilst that remains the case I guarantee you there will be zero change.
Crafty no matter how you spin it you can't argue with the numbers - nutrition is having a hard time.
I will give you an hour to come with a story about nutritions poor performance being the square mile fault, you know the same square mile that have been avid readers of City AM and it's nutrition adverts.
I don't blame the square mile or the stock exchange for nutrition failing, I blame your paymaster, the man-child that goes by the name Matt.
I tend to buy and sell based on the technicals, not exclusively but more often than not and with the poor performance of late the MA's have all been gently falling whereas the share price has been holding steady so there is a strong possibility of an inflection point next week. It would great to see the SP break through and hold above the 50 day MA which currently is 70.68p and falling. Heres hoping
Good morning to one and all, another day and hopefully another dollar or two. There's a good range of opinions in this thread and I am trying my best to be balanced and objective, whether I am succeeding or failing I will leave to you.
Crafty your three times valuation is actually nothing of the sort is it, because its not a fact its literally nothing more than a rumour (proposed in your language) and that type of "smoke & mirrors" nonsense is what I trying and clearly failing to curtail. I like facts, I like numbers, I can join the dots in various ways using those two but rumours and smoke and mirrors just get in the way of being objective.
ps it would be helpful if applied nutrition did achieve a high valuation but for now lets wait and see what comes of it.
Afternoon turns into evening Crafty and your still trying to push water up a hill with your 15th Century German slang - only the deep resources of a well paid lobbyist would come up with something so obscure. If you could more specific and actually name the new listing with a market cap three times greater then than THG's I will do my best to answer your question but it will probably be tomorrow as I am not paid to be on here.
Good afternoon Crafty , I noticed you completely ducked the direct question about City AM and PAT, you lobby people are slippy so & so's, oh and whilst I am here, your quote is a fine example MRDA ;-)
"Personally, I think they are a breath of fresh air when compared to the numerous negative same old, same old investor relations posts."
For those of you not familiar with the infamous Mandy Rice Davies see below, this is cut verbatim from Wikipedia
"Well he would, wouldn't he?",[n 1] commonly referred to as Mandy Rice-Davies Applies (shortened to MRDA), is a British political phrase and aphorism that is commonly used as a retort to a self-interested denial.
Crafty I don't know how much you are being paid to saturate this forum with pro Matt/THG propaganda but I hope it's a good sum because it must be a full time job for you.
And here's the thing it really doesn't matter what you say about City AM purchase because anyone with a modicum of common sense knows it has no part in a well run health and beauty business. It's Matt's mouthpiece and we have paid for it because Matt's focus is not on delivering shareholder value like a real CEO, Matt's focus is on Matt's image and he somehow thinks buying City AM with our money will help change the financial communities low opinion of him.
I will tell you what will change opinions, doing what you said you were going to do on time, having a functioning rather than a dysfunctional investor relations department and stopping belly aching about the city.
I don't hate him, I have never meet him and I have never come close to saying that.
I strongly dislike his utter disdain for private investors, ditto his belief that its 100% his business and he will do what he wants irrespective of what any PI might say. And I think its only natural for any PI to be dissatisfied with any CEO of a quoted company who has clearly told the investor relationship department to ignore every single PI enquiry, these people are our employees as well as his but they are under "soviet style" instructions not to communicate with PI's ! How can you defend that behaviour ? Its wrong on every single level.
