101 like everyone else on here you are entitled to your opinion and I welcome a diverse range of opinions but given my deep seated lack of trust regarding Moulding I would be really interested to gain a better understanding of your belief that we should trust Moulding and the rest of BoD ?

If you had been following the THG board here for a year or more you would know it's not bizarre (strange as that might seem) but actually business as normal for Moulding and his compliant board of directors.

Every single they do and don't do, demonstrates their disdain and contempt for private investors. They stopped answer investors relations questions years ago, hired a respected chairman and then nullified him almost immediately to the point whereby no one has seen or heard anything from him in ages. I could go on and on but there's no point. I believe the vast majority of private investors have no confidence or trust in Moulding and company but are hanging on in here because they believe third parties who enjoy the confidence of the city can see an opportunity at the current low valuations and will eventually put us out of misery

If I had a tenner for every post on here stating, the bounce back is due, the re rate is due, the take over is due etc etc I would have a healthy profit on my THG involvement, however what I currently have a notable 5 figure loss :-(

Its interesting to note how hard you have to look to find any mention of AI and whilst I am happy to acknowledge of lot of AI noise is nonsense it seems odd that a business unit that claims to be at the forefront of tech has no AI focus.

On a different tack, the current valuation of Ingenuity, with its customer base, physical and intellectual assets is in my opinion daylight robbery.

I agree it's not Machiavellian, however to me it's another clear example of Moulding using shareholders to further benefit himself and his close backers. The way the demerger has been constructed means it's going to be a long and bumpy journey before I break even on my THG holding and I have no idea what will become of the shares I will end up with in the newco.

LD1973 I'm not sure the maths add up for your train of thought. F1 sponsorship typically runs into tens of millions or hundreds of millions if your Red Bull.

The obvious question is how much merchandise would WIlliams have to sell each year to justify giving away millions of pounds of advertising space for what is basically a logistics service???

Good question, given Mouldings track record of only telling PI's information that he thinks best serves his own interests I doubt we will get clarity but all my instincts say he will push as much towards THG as he can because I believe he sees Ingenuity as his next big pay day and it follows that he wants Ingenuity to be "lean and mean" from a financial perspective.

I suspect it's a bit of both starting with trying to do the right thing but being woeful at being a big time CEO and then realising he was never going to convince the experienced financial people he hatched a plan to take Ingenuity private for as little money as was possible and it appears that he on course to do just that.

And all of the nonsense below was supposed to boost the brand recognition and increase sales - in a well run businesses quite a few people would have lost their jobs due to failing sales but not THG, nope at THG you reward failure with free shares 🫤

To me it's ironic that Moulding is so looking forward to taking Ingenuity private because he always run THG as if it was private, indulging in all manner of expensive personal whims with shareholder money, for example country clubs, spa resorts, news papers, studios to pander to the likes of Gary Neville ( who is everything Moulding is not) F1 sponsorship and apathetic statue of a Gorilla.

Moulding is doing his very best to have his cake - eat it and then sell the eaten cake.

Its funny old share, even when it rises I have zero FOMO because as sure as day turns into night any rise in the SP is always followed by a decline and the decline is always faster/harder when Moulding speaks in person or via LinkedIn which lets face it, the chairman was meant to sort out but he is chairman only in terms of payroll.

I wonder how many more bids will come in only to be rejected without the PI community ever being privy to the offer or being asked to vote on it, my gut feel is this has a long, long way to go before we get a significant rise the share price and one that finally sticks.

Valuing Ingenuity at £200-£300 million is not good news given how much has been invested in it.

I suspect Ingenuity is the division Moulding is most precious about and I think in part that explains his downbeat analyst presentation i.e. he was pressurised into the separation. If my train of thought is correct it will interesting to see what price Moulding will accept for Ingenuity because anything less than the full Ingenuity investment value will be seen as evidence that the investment in Ingenuity was a mistake unless he once again cloakes the deal outcome in more "smoke & mirrors".

Whilst I have no idea who will bid for Ingenuity, I am prepared to state that in my opinion there is absolutely zero chance that Mike Ashley will be interested in bidding, MA is a retailer, pure and simple. His expertise is in buying distressed retail brands and then revitalising them in his no nonsense pragmatic way. To the best of my knowledge he has never sought to invest in a "tech" business, moreover the ongoing capital investment required to give Ingenuity the required scale is well beyond him even if it was of interest and I am sure its not.

Lets hope Moulding does find a buyer who he can agree terms with because if Ingenuity can be separated and some or all of the prior investment recouped then finally the SP will hopefully fly away. FWIW I feel quietly optimistic that I might make a reasonable return on my investment if the above happens. Onward & upwards

i'm sorry to pour cold water on the statement below but is beyond naive, ditto challenging amazon on a logistics front.

you cannot just "bolt" on different systems, one of the reasons evri(hermes) had such an awful reputation was their logistics systems were **** poor when compared to the likes of dpd. and as for actually competing against amazon, thats a brentford v man city kinda day dream. amazon have invested billions in to their uk logistic and have said they will spend a further £300 million electrifying their delivery fleet.
