Nope Ste, sat on some losses on THG but it’s OK I can afford it, that’s investing and it will come good. Nutrition and Beauty are great markets to be in for the instagram generations, THG are experts in engaging through the right social media channels and it’s dirt cheap. You keep spreading your FUD and run some nice big positions overnight I’m sure it’s a winning strategy medium term.

Yesterday was risk off US tech and THG gets caught up on it. Unfortunately UK shares don’t seem to capture any upside on US “risk on” days at the moment!

There is plenty of interest in THG divisions/assets, but MM & long term holders stakes prevent a hostile taking it out the group on the cheap . Whilst sell off post Xmas has been painful, it is mirrored by On the Beach which I also own (which is a really solid business without the baggage that comes with THG). The reality is there is currently little interest in growth shares on the LSE with interest rates where they are - there was a bit of buying pre Xmas when expectation was for quicker rate cuts, this has reversed since NY with expectation of stickier inflation. The only difference I see on this share is that on market down days you have a few very vocal voices on here jumping up and down with conspiracy theories giving it a further push down on very thin volume. So THG (and On the beach) will turn, either quickly on news, or more steadily on macro. The negativity on here is just noise.

What missed guidance Steve? Are you still on about the net debt conspiracy still, whilst it's leverage ratio's came down? Nothing to see here, THG are allowed to invest you know and its balance sheet is fine and getting stronger now margins have improved

Ste, no one is claiming that Ingenuity has converted a whale yet...H&B is a nice client win, worthy of RNS, but not a whale as think it is a UK only deal (correct me if I am wrong). The big prize for THG is outsourced full service D2C deals on a global basis. They have the infrastructure in place that it will cost others billions to replicate, and hence high barriers to entry. My contacts tell me that business is there to be won as Brands turn their back on trying to develop that expertise in house, and turn to service providers and market places.

H&B isn’t a whale Ste. I know you can’t stand this share, but SoftBank valued Ingenuity @ 4 billion. The infrastructure is built, bring the clients and the market has to put value on Ingenuity. At the moment Ingenuity value is -ve at current share price

Agreed @knowbody…it’s all on Ingenuity…1 or 2 whales, and this flies to £3 even without a capital event

DearCrowman, I for one appreciate Crafty’s efforts to bring positive news to people’s attention. Much more interesting than misery and doom that you and your friends enjoy spreading on here. There are plenty on here who believe there are valueable assets in THG group, and shareholders will ultimately realise value. It’s a shame yesterday’s RNS wasn’t the BIG ONE - I don’t wish anyone ill so I do hope you aren’t caught with you pants down when the big one does drop.

Pretty sure when he announced the Williams partnership MM put something out on linkedin that there was a D2C deal with them to net off so it wasn’t costing a lot.

Strong start to the day, after RNS announcing renewal of unused debt facility, albeit slightly down from £170m to £150m. RNS also highlighted reducing leverage rations of c.1.8x EBITDA for 2023, vs 2.8x for FY 2022. Market reversed quite quickly and our friend Ste highlighted that due to EBitda of 64 for FY22, vs 117 for FY 23 meant that net debt was actuall y up from £180m to £210m. Most of that can be accounted for with Biossance deal for £20m…then you are into the debate as to whether RNS was polishing a turd, or whether you aren’t bothered by the increase in net debt given the aquisition and the downward trajectory of the ratio which they said will continue in 24.

Lots of wild accusations this morning, comparing THG to Cazoo and Quindell. There really are some dark games played around this share.

Yep, THG was never in distress and all the chatter about revisiting lows was IMO fanciful with cash flow now positive and no forced seller (ie SoftBank). Expecting a steady stream of positive news now, and good to see bullishness around Vivek on Linkedin yesterday. I had an interesting chat with a senior Beauty exec yesterday, who has explaining the huge value of specialist market places like Look Fantastic to brands. D2C is a channel they all have to play in this day and age, but very expensive to build and manage. Made me even more bullish on THG’s marketplaces and Ingenuity Services prospects
