I think most of us feel that AIM is a flawed game.
Once you've made that acceptance, you just have to try to play the game to "their" rules.
If they (traders, MMs, etc) can make a fortune manipulating the market in the way they seem to be able to, then we too can make percentage of a fortune by playing along with them.
As you said, the rns wasn't nearly bad enough to have caused the drop on its own so there was obviously something else going on. You just have to spot the manipulation, trust your own judgement, jump in and hold on. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose (well I do anyway) but I think these manipulations do become easier to spot after a while.
