Yes, Max, like I said before, all these press articles are so contradictory. Only a little while after I read the Forbes article, I saw another one which painted a much more optimistic picture. It does make you wonder how 'expert' these 'expert' journalists are. Or have they just been seconded from the births, marriages and deaths desk?

Well, Unclejim, if you think life is rosey now, wait for the "carnage". I'm bewildered by all these news stories about supply and demand for iron ore. One day we're on the cusp of boom time, next day it's going to be "carnage". And then back to boom time.

I hope we can give the board credit for keeping things going, MyIPA, but there's an irony in your statement "working as intended". That's not exactly what I always thought of as the definition of "non-executive". It will give the company more credibility and people on here a bit more moral ballast when the executive team is in place.

Well, I hope you all realise that I'm saying this with tongue in cheek, because I'm documented as regretting acrimony on boards such as this, but at least a bit of name calling will relieve the sheer boredom.

For what it's worth, I'd probably accept somewhere between 2p and 3p. Yes, I know that some people see this being HUGE in 5 to 10 years time. But fact of the matter is that I possibly haven't got 5 to 10 years. So I'd sooner be happy with enough for a few decent holidays and a new Nissan Micra than wait for a garage full of Aston Martins like cj :):)

Oh, HH, how I sympathise. There comes a point in such episodes at which the wall of your house is in grave danger of being demolished by the force with which you bang your head against it.

You may remember from SGZ days the saga I endured with Barclays Smart Investor (Smart???!!!), when it took me the best part of two years to get rights issue shares that I'd bought and paid for entered on to my account. And as for the certificated shares which I tried similarly to get credited (surely a simple, routine transaction?), in the end I just gave up and threw them in the paper recycling!

I honestly despair of trying to deal with any of these monoliths, most of which you can only communicate with these days via ChatBot.

I share your scepticism about "legal types", Barrett. But if an agreement has been signed, it's been signed. They can't introduce fresh i's and fresh t's after the event. There may, of course, be supplementary documentation to finalise, but the actual agreement is, of course, the important thing.

In the light of Barrett's concern about the Native Title Agreement, I've checked the wording of the RNS. The relevant statements are:

"Iron Ore Company of Australia ("IOCA") has signed a Mining Agreement with the Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation", and

"We are delighted to have finalised the Mining agreement".

Now pedantically, I suppose you could think like a lawyer and say, these statements say that IOCA has signed the agreement and IOCA has "finalised" it. It doesn't actually say that KNAC has signed the agreement. It hinges on whether the agreement is "with" KNAC or the signing is "with" KNAC. But it would surely be unusual for both signatories not to act contemporaneously?

As for the little rise yesterday, someone did refer to "another damp squib". I don't subscribe to that negativity. I would sooner see "baby steps" than a "We're Flying! A ten bagger by midday!" gung-hoism. But I did myself mention our morale yesterday. And it would, just once in a while, be nice to see two consecutive days of blue. It has become a self-fulfilling prophecy that one day of blue for UFO will be followed by at least one day of red. A baby step that found a secure footing would be nice to see, rather than the all-too predictable one step forward, one step back.

We need to raise our morale levels as well as the sp, wents. I think many of us are now so beaten into the ground that we'd never be surprised that Jesus Christ himself appearing with our mining licence would be followed by a 5% sp rise. Followed the next day by a 8% drop.

This could all have been put to bed easily if our sleeping-on-the-job BOD had had the gumption to issue a follow-up RNS within hours, saying quite simply "That was a typo. It should have read weeks, not week". So yes, they are inept.
