Puzzled
It is now December, only about two months before SFB first gas at the end of February. Only about two months before a substantial amount of revenues from high gas prices will start coming in, according to the plan.
Yet, in this month, as we are heading for Christmas and new year, we had an unexpected placing at near all time low Share Price (SP) level that crushed the SP. Before the shares from this placing are fully dispersed we now have an RNS that brings the GM forward by two months (from March to January) in order to get shareholder authority to issue more shares.
This, just before 1st gas at the end of February does not bode well – why the hurry to issue more shares and further dilute the shareholder base? Why can this GM not wait until March?
Angus priority should have been and should be getting SFB to 1st gas. To spend significant amount of money on other ventures (Lidsey, Brockham, Geothermal) is not to shareholder’s best interest if it further dilutes the shareholder base. Substantial spending on these projects can wait until SFB is up and running.
Puzzled by the placing and today’s RNS practically just before 1st gas. It appears as if there is a significant issue/problem with SFB 1st gas. My questions are as follows:
1. EA approval was expected by latest 17th December and this date has passed. Is there an update on this? When is EA approval now expected?
2. The SFB Civil Works contract was meant to be awarded by mid-December and this has now passed. Was this contract awarded? If not, when is it now going to be awarded, or is it dependent on EA approval?
3. Has the SFB £12 mil funding being underestimated?
4. Is the end of February deadline for 1st gas going to be met?
5. George Lucan promised months ago on a Proactive interview that the directors will buy shares to support the shareholders but as of yet we had no significant director buys and George Lucan has not bought any yet. Is the reason for not buying the pending placings and shareholder base dilution?
Thank you.
