So Meg what you’re saying is at 550 the share price was overvalued we get that now. All that share buyback have done at the moment is transfer company value to day traders. Can anyone work out the amount of money bp has over paid for there own stock and work out how many years of savings on paying dividend's on that stock before they actually save any money?

Charlie156 why would anyone need to be sectioned for listening to me. I strongly told everyone on this chat to sell at 550. If you have Google check out the last 20 year BP share price it goes between 350 and 550 and no take over even below £2 in 2020. At this level it’s becoming a better investment and I expect everyone to jump in if this hit 375 but no takeover.

To be a take over target the share price would have to be £2.

I believe BP is undervalued this doesn’t mean it won’t be even more undervalued in the future. I can’t understand what the problem is keep buying it’s cheap your never sell at the top or buy at the bottom.

Bp share price is making a technical pattern which is good for a movement back to 440 and if it breaks 440 could run to 490 for another sell off. Anyone hoping for £5+ your have to wait for all the buyers at this level to sell and buy and sell and buy could take a while maybe 12 months plus

If you look at the shares traded after hours there was some Bp shares sold for £3.89 that’s why it shows that price on Google.

If your average is 440 bo and 220 l & g you must be green to the stock market and you will find out that when a company pays a dividend it becomes worth less the amount it pays out. So you need to work hard to make your money work or you may be left with less then you think in 13 years time and after accounting for money that could have just been made in a savings account you may be worse off. Just ask any experienced investors.

I’m guessing 28 isn’t the new normal but definitely a good day trade back to 35p very short term

Anybody who has held Bp shares as long as me or you says they have and post on the stock price a million times a day should have worked out how to trade this by now?? It actually quite sad have you been out lately?

If BP breaks 490 it will be a standard cup and handle pattern and should make 550 easily

One strong catalyst will be if they lower interest rates which is possible in the near future. We will then see a rise back 550. Technically this is at the low of a 12 month pattern between 450 and 550 so would make this a strong buy.

This is a very good buying opportunity Bp share price is at the bottom of a 12 month trading range which is between 450 to 550.

Yes hold strong don’t be tempted to sell when the share price drops a little this is perfectly normal but mark my word this will be .08 Friday close.
