I asked Alan what price the company could expect to sell the asset for in his opinion......
His response:
Following a Preliminary Economic Assessment in 2012, the reported inferred and indicated resources (Non-JORC) totalled over 1.5 billion tonnes @ 0.245% Ni with an estimated Net Present Value of US$317m.
That's out of date now, the surveys and drilling underway now should contribute to a new PEA, which should lead to substantially higher numbers, but that's just my speculative view.
The math is pretty simple on the original PEA number. An NPV of $317m vs. current market cap of c£7m should tell you all you need to know about the potential upside, particularly now the mining rights are in place for the next 30 years.
