A company should never rule out a placing, you can't predict the future. Every share on AIM is at risk of a placing, that's the risk you take.

Speedy_Gonzalez, fair point. Maybe I should just avoid this board, it's too toxic. Problem is I use this page to look at the trades so it's hard to avoid reading the posts.

I hope you manage to make your losses back. I am down about £20k on RMM so I know how it feels to be sat on a massive loss. That share has been a **** show over the past 10 years too with many unhappy longterm investors. Share price down 98% in 5 years, near all time low. But like this, I believe it will come good through its transformation. I was all in there at one point. Realised my error and buying some here was one of my efforts to diversify my portfolio. Maybe I should keep off the AIM market!

Si, a balance of opinions is good. But markets are meant to be forward looking. Companies can and do go through poor periods and then turn around and become good. Often the best investments if you time it right as the poor share price has a lot of room for growth if the company succeeds. The signs are there that this will come good but is the best time to invest now or 2023 when more information is known? Who knows?

I take issue with Speedy's posts because he said he sold at 13p. Yeah he took a loss but another way of reducing a high average is to sell for a loss and buy back cheaper with more shares. I can see his game clearly. It's a valid strategy but he doesn't have to go out of his way to try drag this down.

Si_Derman, yeah I agree looking at the history of the company is important as well and this is one to proceed with caution. The concerns have certainly put me off adding to my holding for now. But I'm not about to take a 25% loss just because people on a board are unhappy with the company's past. The future looks bright. The price will only rise if new people come along and have faith, until then yours and my losses may increase.

I'm not going to hold it against any company for not delivering what they promised for H1 2020, given the fact most of the world was in panic mode over Covid.

So you sold out in the 13s? Exactly what I thought, posting scaremongering tripe because you want a cheaper entry price. You don't seem very happy to be out given your obsessive posting on here. More like someone who is questioning whether they made the right call.

Held for five years and then sell at the bottom just as the company is about to turn a corner. Pro investor stuff that is.

Speedy, I'm down more than I would like on a new investment but that's my own fault for jumping in without noticing the toxic sentiment surrounding the company. A lot of investors have clearly been burned in the past and hold a grudge against the company. Seen it all before in turn around shares.

If the company delivers, sentiment will change, people like you will disappear and the share price will rise. The market will value this correctly at some point. Might take a few more contract wins and the wider markets to improve but we'll get there. Waiting it out has to be better than your genius idea of selling at the all time low.

You may have been here for years and the idea of waiting another year for the price to rise significantly may seem like an eternity, but for me it's a solid investment and priced to do well over the next year or two. This can't stay at 19m market cap forever.

What, by encouraging people to sell for a loss? Your mission is clear as day... Put as many people off investing as possible to bring the share price down so you can get a cheaper entry.

As I said a few days ago, this board is extremely toxic and anyone reading it whilst researching is going to run a mile, because of people like you.

A lot doesn't make sense recently. Another share I'm in, a fund took around £2.5m debt for equity at 35p back in December. They then spent February to June dumping the stock all the way down to 20p, selling into every positive RNS. I suspect similar is happening here.

How many shares have Lombard and Spreadex sold? I wonder if one of these is the seller that dumps on contract wins.

I don't think there is any conspiracy with the share price. It is likely that one person or institution holds millions of shares that they want to sell. They struggle to offload them on days like today so they dump heavy during positive news. Once they're out, we'll move up.

SidTheMan, your post makes no sense. Why would they take on a contract where they can't make any profit? You aren't going to see 40p by putting people off investing.

To be honest I think we're being held back by a seller. The 50k sells last week on the RNS and the large trades today before 9am are signs to me. I wonder how many they have left.

HarChris, I don't expect instant returns at all. I just don't expect to be 20% down within a week of a company obtaining two contracts totalling three times its market cap. That's not normal?

From what I gather on here investors have no confidence in the company. Lots of talk of distrust and people asking for another placing after the recent contract wins. I agree it's a challenging market. Nothing seems to hold a rise in this market so I should have waited for the retreat back to 12p before buying in.

Thing is when good news has no effect on the share price and negative news makes it go down that doesn't encourage others to invest. Seen this before on other shares, it kills sentiment.

I do like the prospects here, it's a good turn around story. The finances look ok to me after these contract wins. Might just be a case of bottom drawer, forget about it for a couple of years.

Agreed Si_Derman. I wish I had done more research before buying in after seeing the 50m contract. Already 20% down. I think I'll get out if we see 15-16p again in the near future as this board is toxic and something isn't right.

Took a small holding here the other day when I saw the news. Starting to think it was a mistake. Is this contract really nothing special?

G, the share price decline is purely down to the copper price. I'm sure we wouldn't be sat here at 17p right now if copper was surging back to $4. People are understandably worried about profitability because we don't know costs.

We were never going to move far on June results as people were looking to exit or reduce their holding due to the copper price. Then there are the traders who know nothing about the company but want their 10% on news. Not many people are buying copper miners right now, again due to the copper price. No one was eating up those sells.

Hardly any shares are holding a rise right now.

I agree we need monthly reporting but that isn't why we dropped.

Copper will bounce back at some point and with it the share prices of copper miners.

The pessimists are the only ones who are making correct predictions. I remember a certain shorter troll on here back in January warning of a recession and copper price crash and we all laughed it off and chased him off the board. It's hard to see the potential negative outcomes when you're too focused on how undervalued your investment is.

Seeing 4D go into administration a few weeks ago spooked me if I'm honest. That was my second biggest holding at one point. Sold the lot last year to add here, and I'm now very overweight here. That's why the financials are my biggest concern right now given the copper price. No chance of us going into administration but it shows the importance of the financials. And I guess being overweight here is better than being diversified in the shares I used to hold, some have been destroyed. Actually glad my portfolio is only 33% down, could be worse.

@StrummerJones Yeah the market taking a dump at the same time we complete the turnaround hasn't helped. I don't think anyone was predicting a recession and a crash in the copper price a year ago.

I think we will just have to hold through it. When people put their cash back into the market and copper recovers post recession we'll be a very attractive investment. My timescales have moved again today. I don't see 30p until after the 2022 financial results are posted next year. I hope I'm wrong but 30p is a 50% rise from here and that's huge in this market.
