This board will become a cesspit today. Yes the EA with Anglo has ended, I imagine in typical Anglo form they have been trying to lowball us. By talking to other interested parties it now gives Anglo the opportunity to up their bid or for one of the others big players to come to a deal.

Teaye72 - I would assume that given they announced Rothschild's involvement as an advisor, it would make sense to notify shareholders if that had changed. That is only my assumption though.

Now we are entering the business end of the EA, one has to ask the question that if no deal was likely to materialise surely Rothschild would have jumped ship by now? There has to be a high chance that a deal can come to fruition, they are on a 'success only' fee.

Daniel, there are a few Dividend Tax Payment calculators online that give you an accurate representation of how much income tax will be due on such a payment. Once announced, best to do a quick google search for a 20/21 Dividend Tax Calculator, you will need to provide any current income for the year as well as the Dividend amount and it will tell you how much tax is due. No CGT will be due on a Dividend Payment it will just be Income Tax.
