If they knew the pressure test was excellent they wouldn’t not share it because it meant current negotiations would be effected. If they knew it was great and it improved the share price they would get a better deal… surely!! Why would you value your company lower than what you know it should be??? It makes no sense.

A postive test would mean better deal.. I highly doubt they would knowingly give it away cheaper than it should be??

No doubt they are postive to get involved, and my post was optimistic not negative.

But knowing pressure test results would need an RNS regardless as its price sensitive information and legally they have to tell the market of anything that changes its value..

Farm in / JV negotiations are completely separate entities.

Companies have to inform shareholders of anything that affects a companies valuation, they can’t withhold that information in the basis they are in talks.

At least from my understanding I think that’s true.

This is a gamble but the odds are good. USA and every country will, and should look to have better energy independence. With costs sky rocketing in the US and globally, it makes the argument to get our assets either sold or working.

The longer oil price stays up the bigger the knock on effect will be. It’ll have severe implications to global prices on everything.

The only plus side here is that copper is and is set to become a seriously valuable resource. With the rise of ai, data centers and electronic equipment needed for modern computing/ industry it’s incredibly valuable.

If this new company benefits shareholders though is a different story. Can’t see long term holders getting anything but still we wait to see if any positives.

- the North Sea accessibility of resources is drastically depleted for starters. The heavy oil that’s deeper and hard to get is hugely expensive and difficult.

- Uk / Scottish infrastructure is very old and would need vast amounts of money ( tax payer money ) to upgrade.

- the price of oil from the North Sea follows global prices.. yes it’s better accessible but still costs whatever oil wanted to be priced at. So it makes zero difference to those who think it’ll lower their energy costs..

- the North Sea is a good part of an energy portfolio but simply saying drill baby drill is just clueless to reality. Not to mention meaningful change will take years.

We are far better off evolving and improving how we generate power. Far better to have a balance of Wind, solar. Hydro, nuclear and fossil fuel than relying on just one.

The uk uses and imports huge amounts Gas, being able to create clean usable gas nationally should and will be a huge benefit. The fact reform appears to not see this just shows how out of touch and clueless they are, A party that is all about nationalism and protected borders who can’t see that baffles me. We literally have a fantastic opportunity to generate our own energy and drastically reduce our need on foreign exports whilst simultaneously be able to export energy bringing more jobs and money into the UK.

Milliband knows this because he’s not thick. And I’m sure the North Sea will improve its output ans rightly so, but it is not a catch all solution by any means.

I’ve said before but you are right cureboy. I’m impressed ITM has so far been resilient to the global economic crisis. I’m contemplating this is due to multiple factors including:

- competition with debt are dropping out due to not having the cash buffer, leading tech and infrastructure that ITM has worked hard to create.

- climate change, especially increasing planet temperatures is an actual fact that has risen sharply over the industrial age, green and renewable energy are genuine solutions that are becoming economically viable to start implementing.

- the current conflict in Iran has only cemented the need for energy security which thankfully turns net zero mindset into a energy independence movement.

- the Global energy crisis caused by conflicts and rhetoric ai boom has also added the need for a stable, reliable and environmentally friendly energy source. Ai eats up power, grids globally can’t handle the extra energy needs.

- ITMs technology can be used in so many different areas from grid stability to excess energy being used to create usable gas for industry.

- political bottle necks are likely to improve now in regards to speeding up policy changes to benefit the creation of green hydrogen.

- Both the UK and EU are making great progress toward fast tracking funding and policy changes to allow easier development of green hydrogen projects.

- Chronos and Hydropulse will, I believe, make the argument for green hydrogen much more appealing to business and governments.

- The fact we have facilities in Europe further strengthen our ability to supply and service customers in Europe and beyond.

- Trumps negative policy means ITM could win contracts that might have otherwise been given to other international companies.

We just need to see Hydropulse contracts and others to start coming in. And we need some strong news to counter the constant pressure from those who hold short positions, if they need or are forced to reduce position it will have a significant effect on the sp in a good way.

Let’s hope for some good updates soon.

That would be genocide. Most Iranian people are lovely, no different than you or I and have families of their own.

Agree that vehicles likely will be dominated by electric until people realise the insane chemical pollution problems of large batteries at scale. Hydrogen, no pollution, no chemical poison from battery’s and no insanely environmentally damaging lithium mines and transport etc. but infrastructure supports it for the moment.. but it’s far far from as green as people like / want to believe. Hydrogen will target energy grid and industry first which is great.

But when it becomes apparent and easier to power vehicles with water.. well, that’s when the world really sees the benefits first hand.

Not in ITM for hydrogen vehicles, never was. It’s not ITMs goal either. They want to be a gas company.

Long term this conflict is very good for renewable energy. Even the USA is u turning on their views of solar energy for example.

At the end of the day the USA president has far far too much sway in how the world perceives them. This should be a strong warning to them that their elected dictator makes a huge difference and should take far more care who they elect.

For us I’m hoping this conflict really strengthens the argument for what we offer. I’m hoping to see fast tracking policies in UK and EU for both hydrogen and renewables and speed the transition away from reliance on foreign fossil fuels for industry and domestic consumption.

Surely now opening phulbari must be top of the agenda.

North Sea oil and gas subject to same prices as global price.. you can’t simply ramp up North Sea assets either, takes ages. Plus reserves in the North Sea a depleted, heavy oil ( much harder, deeper and expensive to recover ) is there but getting it is not easy.

Infrastructure also old, HUGE costs involved to increase North Sea output and certainly not a quick solution. Years not months.

1. Yes and no, rising energy prices actually means it’s less attractive to create green hydrogen and greatly increases transportation and logistics costs meaning both rare earth and materials increase cost. But wind solar and hydro sources is a bonus. Hydropulse / chronos improves this.

2. ITM already has facilities which puts it ahead of competitors as the cost to create infrastructure goes up for others to compete. If ITM can survive long term it gets stronger.

3. Short term sentiment will be a negative as the market is very short sighted. ITM needs to really support sentiment to stop the market pulling back. Long term, renewables will drastically become more attractive.

We also have to counter pressure from the shorters who will see this as a great opportunity. Again ITM needs to counter this.

Overall, this situation makes the long term prospects much better but short term we need support. D

You can’t just suddenly create infrastructure and acquire rigs and drill baby drill. The process takes time. But this situation will highlight the need to secure non Middle East oil and gas reserves.

Those with a long term outlook will be considering acquiring oil and gas reserves and reducing dependency on volitile Middle Eastern energy.

The long term threat on Middle Eastern facilities is now very high including shipping. Not great for short term ( probably ) but certainly improves probability of this mid to long term.

The concern is short term the markets pull money out of “risk” stocks. It will take a long time to repair oil and gas infrastructure which means prices very likely to increase further, and remain high. This puts a lot of downward pressure on everything, except probably BP etc..

On the flip side this situation is a MASSIVE wake up call to fast track national energy security and turns net zero into energy security absolutely.

You can’t just create new oil fields or turn on the taps to create more oil. Countries need their own independent energy supplies.

Long term this is a good for ITM, short term I worry that the markets will be hit hard by sustained conflict and oil and gas prices.

Hydropulse & Chronos could be a strong counter to this situation but we are getting no news or developments to support us currently.

I think if buys at that volume are legitimate we wouldn’t be seeing 5-7% drops. But each to their own. Volitile share, decent downs, decent ups.

Took a mid term punt here, this has dropped a lot, 20-40p not unreasonable to hope for when this rebounds.

Again he seems to strongly be for homegrown, sustainable energy and fast track those processes. Common sense seems to be getting through. I get the feeling he will be referring to a balanced portfolio of renewables, nuclear. wind, solar, hydrogen, and oil and gas ( though oil and gas in the North Sea still mimics global prices )

Think people will need to understand cost of living will always go up in conflict . Less luxuries, and focus on essentials. But the fact he’s highlighting homegrown energy is great for ITM.
