The insolvency question is highly pertinent hence the market reaction in the face of absolutely zero reassurance from the company. The fact we as minor SHs have done a back of a fag packet calculation and think we have approximately £20m left is fine, if that makes you feel re-assured. However Solgold is not a trading company, it has no income, so the means to assess its solvency are different to a trading entity that knows it has billed or billable anticipated receipts. Solgold has no income, so the ticking is potentially a lot louder than a trading company which can go to the market and say 'yes we know we have cash flow difficulties but look what funds are just around the corner'. I got a prickly reply from Fawzi towards the end of last week which I've not had the time to consider in detail. A couple of points that stood out to me are that (1) the company had no obligation to comment on the various key exits: 'since when has a company had to "explain" why employees leave?' (Ouch!!). My initial thoughts are yes Fawzi technically correct - however when the departures are of key players that the company has been trumpeting for years, then if the company does not comment, expect a fall out in market response. (2) the PFS addendum and Porvenir PEA are both still due by the end of the year - note not before the AGM. (3) 'Solgold is investigating a number of strategic initiatives to provide the Company with funding options for the development of Cascabel and progression of the regional projects.' - so watch this space, the same nebulous deflecting response the market has been fed as long back as I can remember.

It reminds me of an old Spike Milligan sketch (Q7?) where he does a send up of David Attenborough: 'This is where life began...well it did for me anyway!

Quady if I were you I would try and look objectively at why the SP has dropped 50%+ over recent months, it is a fairly conspicuous mess if you compare to other shares out there.

DBW thanks, I think you point re Mather/Irwin is one reason why a lot of PI's are hanging on in there, aside from the fact that a lot are underwater and have no easy other option.

Red, the current financial position needs to be put into context:
1. We have had no updates for long (a year?)?
2. We have had string of resignations or dismissals with no explanation from the company.
3. We appear to have 2-3 months of funds left with a £5-6m per month drain with no apparent product or reported benefit.
4. A terrible RNS about the failed attempted funds raise, with no follow up.
5. Absolutely no information on where future funds are to be sourced/raised.
6. The company or poor Fawzi ignoring requests for an explanation on the above.
It is appalling way to run a company.

Spot on JG, Solgold's management is and have been a car crash during my investment, the SP speaks for itself. I see SG's position as similar to playing a game of five card poker with four aces but tuppance h'penny to bet with, against other players with **** hands but fists full of chips, they just keep the betting going, until SG folds, or hopefully in our case smells the coffee and ships out. Some would call it a Dead Man's Hand, ace on eights, as the Western fans will know.

Just watched that presentation. The most significant part what the presenter at the end saying 'we will not have time for questions today, moving on....'. Why are Solgold wasting money sending DC around the world presenting this same old pitch time and again, it was like watch NM, perhaps he wrote it? They should have just sent a video and saved some carbon footprint.

The quickest way into exploration would be to buy an exploration company.

Quady you went full circle there, your conclusion is in fact the company should have made an official statement before IH did plus, it should shut Fawzi up? It is very clear they have no firm or clear information release strategy, it is amateurish and very damaging.

I’m all in favour of women being treated equally and playing football, good luck to them. Where the BBC and woman’s rights campaigners get carried away is by trying to sell as top class football. It isn’t. Maybe one day it will. Talking straight in response is part of equal rights. Men have a massive physical advantage to women, that’s nature. Just enjoy it if you like it.

RK your attendance stats are complete nonsense I’m afraid, did you get those from The Guardian? Just look at how many 100,000 FA Cup Finals and England games there were. There are stacks of huge UK attendance, countless in fact. Here’s a starter, Celtic v Leeds United 1970 European Cup, 130,000.
