4. Repeated references to a hypothetical bid for the company but they feel they can defend this.

My view is that NM cannot say 'please come and bid for us' out loud, it would provoke a low ball offer. He has to pitch for a high offer, which is what he has just done. I lost count of the number of times he mentioned a possible bid in that webinar, why? They are expecting something to happen, probably imminently in my view (but it is only my take). I am not has close to this as a lot of you, but was that panel of Solgold reps not the strongest for a very long time on one of these presentations? If so why? Good luck all, whether this gets taken out or goes the distance.

I was really very worried about funding, so this is very positive news. Fingers crossed for more news soon either to nail this finance down or maybe even an offer.

I think pension funds are not allowed to invest in stocks that do not pay a dividend.

The directors have to disclose all their share dealings to comply with company law and stock market rules. If they had bought (or sold) there would be a public announcement. There is no chance they would try and hide dealings. In my experience directors purchases are often initiated to give a public show of support to a share under pressure but it is possible it could be a hint of some future possible developments. I think when they announced proposed purchases it was because they were under huge pressure because the SP had tanked over a long period because of no news.

Thanks that's what keeps me hanging in there. I sold out of Lloyds at 70p to get into this, but unfortunately that was at 35p. I could still by substantially more Lloyds shares than I started with so if it got back to 55p approx I would be back to even Steven.

I'm very tempted to sell some of my Solgold shares and get back into Lloyds Bank. I can see that rebounding to 50-55p relatively quickly once the epidemic is on the decline. No doubt if I do that a Solgold offer will come in!

Well I hope an offer does come in, I can't wait to get out of this share. My average is 34p but if I could get out at 28-30p I would leap at it. It would relatively easy to recover the loss in something else once the CV plays out over 1-2 years if not sooner. If no offer comes, just got it sit it out. Live and learn...

.... is we are 40-50% down in a year. Nothing to do with any external forces, it now looks the political issues are resolved (hopefully), resulting in a quick SP spike then fall back. The reason for the awful SP performance is down to dreadful time keeping; no financing information (other than a minute lifeline to prevent insolvency from BHP); not explaining why deadlines are not met and no material news or updates. I know some posted of likely news this week, and I suspect some of the spike was down to optimism in that regard.

Can you ask her why we should pay any attention to this when their time estimates are generally completely unreliable?

I've not held anywhere near as long as a number on here nonetheless I know a lot about take-over/buy ins buy-outs etc. The issue is that even if there are NDAs and/or confidential negotiations taking place those have no bearing at all on basic PR and updating on missed deadlines that Solgold set themselves.

I agree Earthling and if investors rely in good faith on NM's representations e.g. that events are imminent, and retain our shares in reliance on that, then my view is that Solgold are potentially accountable. If you (like me) have retained the shares there is no loss until you sell, but it is an issue. I think NM has been advised of this and told to keep his mouth shut. Hence the failure to reply to emails.
