Hi Losta, I am as keen as the next investor for avct to do well..... however reality check needed. AVA is early stage in clinic..... best hope for potential buy out would be after phase 1, results not due until q2 next year. Realistically we are looking at 2023 for results (phase 2) big pharma will show real interest in.
It appears to take the coveted "best lft in the world" title from us. No mention of cost, which might be the only deal breaker....
Ref home use....
AS stated..... by the end of the year. I recall he said something like "it's a more complex process than CE"
We need to be realistic (not to be confused with optimistic)... home use is not imminent or even close
What evidence is there that Medusa19 are rushing through home use capability?
Haha neither are avacta!
Yes NDA is surely a red herring.
Main hope now is overseas contracts...... the silence is deafening.
It feels like the ava6000 presentation was something of a distraction/ diversion from what is looking like a flop in the world of diagnostics.
And yes, I am invested. And a little under water.
Fair point lukeregan, settles my wandering mind a little. Perhaps Gavin Wiliamson's qoute was a little left hand, right hand. Which is fairly typical of hmg
And that contract started when we could all order innova online for home delivery. Who do you think has been popping them through letter boxes prior to 3rd July...... deliveroo?
The bidstats you have linked doesn't give the start date. Right now the jigsaw pieces don't quite fit. As Larch made the point well in the other thread..... AS is looking elsewhere.
Gavin Williamson said over the weekend, we are looking to move away from testing as soon as we can.
Would he say such a thing if gov are about to embark on a sovereign British test campaign with a view to "testibg" us out of this mess?
I am not being negative or anti avacta, just interpreting some of the signs I am observing. I think these things fuel the fire as to why AS is looking for overseas custom.
Bidstats gives a published date not a start date for the contract. I recall home delivery contracts being discussed on here months back which then followed the availability of home delivery of ****nova tests.
I will be as happy as the next avacta holder if it is a brand new contract, but without that confirmation I will reserve judgement as to whether its another duck lining up
I hear the message , but it doesn't add up to supply the UK. Not when the latest rhetoric seems to be around letting the virus run it's course now vaccination is protecting most of the at risk population.
Why would gov buy tests if they are going in that direction. I believe the business will be across the globe rather than right here. I would like to believe that UK will be a big earner for us, but too many hints to the contrary.
Thanks Rebecca
Based upon those figures, surely the SP should have gone up not down? Is the drop MM manufactured?
That was just a tad anal.... by the end of the year implies at some point between now and 31/12.
However with AS concept of time, there could be a little slippage on that time frame ??
Previous update from AS...... we hope to have home use approval by the end of the year.
Fastcar how aware were we all of the Innova test prior to hmg buying £3 billion worth? I would suggest not all.......
Profcheese... you make a valid point. ISO accreditation was mentioned in the RNS in Feb as you point out. There was a further update in the final results RNS in April. That included the following "Successfully passed first audit by the Group's Notified Body (BSI Group) of the Company's Quality Management System as first step in establishing ISO13485 accreditation, a critical quality assurance system for a developer and legal manufacturer of diagnostic products and medical devices. The final audit will take place in April 2021."
So rocquet.... its a fair question...... why isn't ISO accreditation complete? Avacta paint a picture that it was almost complete.
It is an attempt to keep share bouyancy following impending (5pm perhaps?) update that Avacta are not supplying hmg. Which is fine with me, but aim sentiment will hit the SP.
Much confident talk around the ongoing CV process for the Avacta Lft, and rightly so. The bar is set high in the latest DHSC procurement exercise. Can we pass it? Of course. Can we fail it? Possibly. Thoughts on what's next if we don't make the grade in CV? Both practically and SP......
BAMs may be about to step up to its hype........
