Wow! genuinely surprised at some of the painful positions among posters, (kind of explains Indigo's "short fuse" and periodic insults). I feel somewhat embarrassed to be ahead! Although I was brave and bought when the share price was tanking and below 1.5p.

Dreaming on days to come when we see a successful company with a very healthy share price and all us supporters are rewarded for our loyalty.

The concern I have with this fuel is the potentially limited supply of Glycerin. I realise there is currently a glut of it as a waste product from BioDiesel production but will that always be the case?

As we move to electric vehicles, is BioDiesel going to be produced in sufficient quantities that the waste glycerin will remain readily available, especially if MSAR was heavily adopted across the shipping industry. Or would the plan be to run on MSAR and switch to the cleaner BioMSAR, as the ships travel through heavily restricted areas?

If the MSC trial is successful, it must be very tempting for them to try and buy QFI. Not only will using the fuel save them money and improve their green credentials, it will also offer them a clear advantage over their competitors.

Their potential offer price should be more in line with value to them rather than current share price. Who knows what that could be???

To be fair, they said they hoped to complete the phase 1 trial by end Q1 2020. Obviously Covid caused a huge delay there and given where they are now, I think they are reasonably near to a realistic schedule. The really interesting thing for me is the client seems equally keen to save time by running concurrent trials.

Hopefully everything will go well and a commercial supply agreement can be agreed. With the proximity to Cespa it could be on a MSAR supply basis to maximise profits...Still a few hurdles to go though!

I believe Morocco will be the first commercial success for QFI and while the potential from the mystery client might only be relatively small, the regular income will hopefully be enough to halt share issues and further dilution at least until something bigger comes to commercial fruition. The spin off from having an operational commercial agreement could see many new doors open????

I think they are referring to the solvents they are adding to enable extraction. The discussion seemed only to be about the bitumen extraction....

More pathetic attempts at tree shaking towards the end of today's trading. Bid price holding up well, through many tens of thousands of pounds trading, at around 3.30p. Then a run of piffling trades, (totalling approx. £100 at 3.12p before ending at 3.02.

Nowhere near realistic. Nervous investors - don't be fooled into panic selling!!!!

They are only salaried employees for as long as the company exists!

At a share price of 3p the company is valued at approx £34m. In order to raise capital an offer to buy 1 share for every 10 owned, (@ 3p) would equate to £3.4m. Even a 66% take up would raise around £2.25m.

I would be happy to take up that offer. Perhaps the BOD and/or MSC could underwrite any shortfall in take up???

I was the same Devonian, however when some trading platforms are offering free trading then maybe a lot of kids playing with their pocket money??? It is a bit of a nuisance if you ask me.

My experience, especially in this share, has taught me to do my transactions later in the afternoon when the spread tends to narrow, offering buyers and sellers better deals. For buyers, this strategy can mean losing out if the share price moves up significantly on the day but of course, conversely can be positive if the share price down.

As ever, like all investments, better to take a longer term view. Buy good companies and hold for the long term is a strategy that tends to deliver...

Would be outstanding if everything came off and one success could very well spur on other potential clients to get involved. However, as for price???

Put it this way, if a major oil company, or shipper, or even a billionaire entrepreneur came in and wanted to buy the company, what price would they need to offer for your shares in order for you to vote yes????

Hope you're right Indigo. FWIW, I think the SP should be between 4-7p on this news alone. Hopefully we'll get there soon and higher on other positive updates.

I have managed to build my holding significantly over the last 12 months and have hedged some of my shares to cash on previous spikes on much weaker RNS releases, buting larger amounts back when the SP inevitably tracked back down.

This time however, I believe the MSC RNS is much more significant and I am not willing to sell/hedge any shares at current prices. IMO once the "elephant in the room" of future funding is addressed, we could see significant further gains.

I have to agree, DPS. For all his technical expertise Jason is far from what I would like to see as QFI spokesperson. I realise the words of such a senior executive holds a lot of clout, but jeezo, we really need to get someone with much more vim, vigour, positivity and better body language to preach to the unconverted.

The cost savings and improved environmental features of MSAR should be made much more forcibly via a more upbeat projection. Jason sounds like he could be reading out the arrangements for a funeral!!!

Quadrise have a patented technology which involves adding 29% water and 1% (secret chemical formula) to the extracted oil, to produce a fuel called MSAR. Greener and cheaper than traditional oil based fuels.
It is a different "solvent" type chemical used to separate the oil from the sand.

FWIW, the recently listed "sell" of £5,100 was in fact my buy.

slicks and wets, I too would like to see the IMO ban this fuel but I believe they are up to their necks in this scandal along with shipping companies, oil producers, refineries etc. Getting on for 6 months down the line and it would appear no action has been taken when even a temporary suspension might have at least reassured us they were not turning a blind eye to the problem.

Appears to be numerous "investigations" taking place but my money's on a cover up...

I agree, forward selling is plausible for a heavily traded (say FTSE100) stock but highly unlikely for QFI, especially as they will have almost 28,000,000 shares to dispose of.
