Will we see a return to this kind of share movement, (blast from the past)!!!!
"Upcoming newsflow should sustain the momentum behind fuel technology play Quadrise Fuels (QFI:AIM) into 2014. Investors have started to latch on to the potential of its patented MSAR emulsion fuel and the shares have soared by nearly 250% to 48p since we last highlighted them. Seaborne trials with Danish shipping giant AP MØller Maersk (MAERSK-A:CO) are expected to result in maiden commercial revenues next year, more detail on the terms of its Saudi Arabian project is anticipated in the near-term and implementation of a joint venture with Colombian state energy firm EcoPetrol is another likely catalyst.
The £369 million cap uses water and specialist chemicals from Dutch concern AkzoNobel (AKZA:AS) to produce MSAR, a substitute for heavy fuel oil (HFO) used in marine transportation and power at refineries. Unlike HFO it does not require the refiner to use valuable distillates to manufacture a product which typically trades at a discount to oil. The enhanced margin per barrel of crude can be shared between the refiner, Quadrise and the end user. The benefits to Saudi Arabia of adopting MSAR are potentially enormous, for example, since the country imports distillate fuels at an annual cost of $17 billion."
