So frustrating to have major selling on the back of such a positive RNS. I really thought this news might have halted (Miton's??) selling strategy. at least temporarily but it would appear not as I would have expected the SP to be around 2.5p on the increased buying demand.

It makes me wonder if the UK Smaller Companies Fund Managers at Miton, (if they are indeed selling vigorously), have been "encouraged" to trim down this holding by the main BoD of Premier Miton. Seems strange to buy into the concept of MSAR/BioMSAR so recently and continue to dump on the back of this news.

Either way let's hope it's just the start of a summer of good news with proper upward movement of the SP in tandem.

I understand where you're coming from Barking, but unless their sell strategy is cast in stone, some good news coupled with an uptick in SP may convince them to hang fire on sales for a while to see what develops.

If they have been selling large chunks recently and the SP is beginning to edge up again then maybe it is a good sign of underlying demand. This with the tight, (for here) spreads has cheered me up a bit over the last week

Maybe they are expecting a summer downturn in markets and are building their cash position to take advantage of any future "bargains". Could be selling proportionately across their holdings??

I believe there is some SP manipulation going on with PQE and the shares trading are only a very small portion of the overall float.

Barring any bad news on the takeover, or CFIUS investigation, I fully expect the SP to start tracking up through August until payday, from which a significant chunk of money could be headed to Tomco.

I suppose it depends on whether Maersk is leasing the vessels or sub-contracting the shipping to Zodiac. In the first option they will choose the fuel, (subject to the owner's approval, I assume). The second option would see Zodiac choosing the fuel with or without Maersk's agreement.

Yes, I seem to remember talk of possibly circumventing the Wartsila testing. Could this be on an older ship with MSC willing to "take the risk" of operating without LONO?

Perhaps sourcing a specialist insurance for this project could be one reason for the delay. Pure speculation of course and I'm waiting to be shot down in flames, as usual.

I have a good holding of PQE, a bigger one in QFI and a smaller one here. If Viston buy-out goes through, (likely end August) it will pretty much de-risk the other two.

On completion of the deal, I plan to increase my holding here significantly.

I appreciate many LTHs will have a higher break even point than I do and was only speaking from a personal point of view.

I've been invested here since 2012 and built my holding through both trading and additional cash top-ups. Indeed, being in QFI led me to my smaller stake in Petroteq and even smaller buy of Tomco. Until recently, I always felt QFI was my best bet of the three to come good as they have their fingers in more pies. However, now I am at the polar opposite, remaining confident the Viston deal will happen at PQE and there seems to be some very positive developments at Tomco. I now feel QFI is the "outsider" of the three, to land me decent profits.

It would be great if some positive news emerged in the near future and I remain hopeful but certainly not confident in the BoD at QFI, being able to lead us to the promised land. Maybe a takeover/buyout by a bigger concern might help get

I think the chances of success for any further cash raises are very slim to none. They really need to achieve a firm commercial contract before the cash runs out.

As we approach that point, I will be hoping for a "Viston" type buyer to rescue the technology/patent and hopefully offer 4 or 5p per share. They would certainly get all mine with that kind of offer!

Yes, I agree, a positive update. It would appear CFIUS remains the final barrier to overcome and prior to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, I would have said it will be a rubber stamp job but who knows what they will deem as "National Security" in current times.

CFIUS 45-day "review" period ends this Thursday. They may pass the takeover deal or enter into a 45-day "investigation" period. The offer was extended to allow a reasonable time period to conclude the deal should the review be positive.

I guess we will know soon?? If the deal goes through, I would expect a fair amount of interest and investment of PQE profits in Tomco to follow. Current price could seem like a real bargain in the not too distant future IMO.

H2 2022, 6 more months in the last chance saloon???

Well we are now probably in the last 12 months of capital runway. Without significant progress in the next 6 months, I don't think there will be a snowball's chance in hell of raising further capital, (I wonder how the recent IIs are feeling now?). I certainly am very unlikely to throw any more money at QFI and will probably make a decision on my existing exposure toward the end of 2022.

Let's hope the landscape is hugely improved by then or it may be the beginning of the end???

The pleasing part about these RNS releases is the firm dates attached, (rather than the speculative timescales given to SH).

It reads to me like they're saying to the client and agent, "you've messed us around long enough, meet these deadlines or do one".

Hopefully some good news re. MSC soon which will be a far more positive indication of QFIs future security and be reflected in the SP.
