Hi Kophkissen, I'm guaranteeing my £20K's worth at today's prices by buying in my share account, will buy 20k for my isa on the 6th, sell the original lot and put the proceeds in my wife's isa for more EUA, leaving non subject to tax.
I'm also wit HL, CJ with the same issue. Instead of waiting, I've bought my £20k's worth in my ordinary share account and will do my own transfer on the 6th. Avoids the bed and ISA delay and can time the sale to avoid any cost.
After a long wait for the RNS, my impatience is tempered by the thought of the bed and ISA bonus that an an after 5th April announcement would provide. Up to now I have been champing at the bit, but the new tax year is so close, for some, a couple more weeks wait may provide a nice top up to the prize. I've learned a lot from some great posters, many thanks to them and GLA. W.
Panino, I understand where you're coming from, 32p is pretty significant to me too - but my average is 31p. I'm sure you'll be chuffed with your will power if you can hang on a few days more for the really big one. Good luck to you and all invested. W.
Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but is it possible that a deal of this magnitude would have to be cleared by some government administrative department before it's announced ? We all know how slow they can be to oblige, and could explain the waiting time.
GLA, Any time now. W.
You may be right WTF, but I would prefer to describe Hoochy's posts as outrageous rather than ludicrous, and we love him for it. His posts have provided a degree of levity at a time that has been stressful for many reasons, for a lot of people. Whether you like him or not, I think The Hooch has given a lot to this board and kept our spirits up during this long wait. When it's all over, i hope we can follow him on other boards.
GLA, It can't be long now. W.
