This is outright lies. Boohoo hasn't guided on profits for the current year other than positive EBITDA and certainly not as far out as the end of 2024.

You have to be able to justify transfer pricing to HMRC as being arms length commercial agreements though. I've worked with companies where since COVID the management are dispersed globally and it becomes harder to have board meetings in the UK to maintain the managed and controlled status within the UK and maintain UK residency.

The new Cineworld will have to pay UK tax on it's UK profits. Being listed in the Cayman's doesn't change that. It means they pay tax on their global tax profits in the Cayman's rather than in the UK and I expect there are probably capital asset advantages being listed there for the holdings companies.

I suspect they won't have to worry about paying tax for a long time yet.

That said it does come into my IG account as a dividend.

The problem with that case is it's got a complicating factor in that he's received the income by reason of his employment although it does then go into some detail generally on the distributions being income and not capital.

This must have been tested before given the amount that Glendcore pay out.

Looking onto this, and I have looked at it before but not in greater detail but our beloved dividend is a distribution of capital from the capital contribution reserves, presumably something that ended up on the balance sheet post IPO. Related link below:

Every party has their own set of advisors. There are loads of different interests playing out. The only problem is one of those parties has not only the voting power but the right under the law to the assets.

Hi it doesn’t. It’s pretty much flawed throughout. You can’t compare what happened in 2019 to the cinema of today. It’s ridiculous. Valuation are forward looking not backwards. Regal was botched acquisition from the off. The shorters were straight onto it and that was before COVID struck.

I've had a good luck at the interims now. It's looks like they have had to start again with a lot of the finance function. They are putting in place some very basic measures that you would think a company of this size would be producing anyway like cash flow forecasts and monthly management accounts that closely reflect the stats.

They've got to got this relisted soon as one of the terms of the banking covenants is the re-listing on AIM.

The sad thing is that you guys believe this is the case. The court has uploaded every letter that has been sent in and if someone presents a motion to the court it gets its airtime. That's the way courts work. It doesn't mean the judge is setting there thinking 'oh if I only the valued the company without any of the rents in'. Imagine how much Apple would be worth if they didn't bother including developer staff costs or maybe the cost of actually making iPhones, Macs & Ipads - $20 Trillion?
