With no news my money is MM having been given a big order at a low price and trying to fill it by dropping price and pucking up stock cheap..... wouldn't shock me if we finish day blue

Anyone feel like we are going to get some news in 2 days at AGM that will act as the catalyst to propel the sp north of 700+ ?

Price fell from just over �8 to just under �4 in the immediate aftermath of SFO last May 2017. sp had already fallen from a peak of �15 in 2014 when oil prices were at current levels. So if current oil price translates into increased business and we exit existing upstream business at a profit to carry value of �1bn then there is plenty of scope for increase in sp at least towards �8-10 in the short term IMHO albeit that might be achieved via a bid proposal. V true pokerchips - AGM will also provide an opportunity for the analysts to update their target price based off forward view of pipeline and potential sale of IES business and paydown of debt. SP currently is gett8ng close has surpassed many of the broker quotes ans II may be waiting to get that reassurance before they add - could see the next leg up post AGM this friday. GLA

That sounds logical to me :) I think a positive update at AGM re future potential could see sp jump - same as Wood Group :)

The year on year fall being the write down provision of $292 I an assuming IED includes the sold deep water ship project, plus the assets in mexico and north sea ( not sure if there are others) So possibly we are looking at $1bn plus proceeds including ship - which will I guess pretty much allow PFC to repay fully outstanding debt Any thoughts ?

Reading between the lines I think some big news is not far off.... A fitch rating would in my experience be done at the request of the company (who have to pay a sizeable fee) and a considerable amount of management time answering q's , giving presentations, etc .... perhaps there is a plan being worked on ?

When oil last traded at $70+ in 2014 PFC were trading closer to �15. I can only see further speculation in press in coming weeks /months about PFC being a targrt for t/o GLA

Interesting, what drives your conviction on KAZ, it looks close to its 5 yr high, copper prices look to be already well priced given lack of major groth globally...perhaps i am missing something ????? What m8ght be interesting is to come back in 1 Aug and compare PFC ( 603p) versus KAZ (913p)

Ahhhhhh, lets come back in a few weeks and see shall we- I suspect an RNS on a major deal win has the potential to propel this into the late 600's/low 700's , SFO "move along nothing to see here" RNS and 1100-1200p could be on the cards......an approach from a 3rd party...... ...boom - even more. All 3 are not only possible but in my books pretty probably inside next 12 months If have another conviction stock that you feel iffers a better opportunity the go for it, if not then pfc offers far more potential than a bank account Gla Gla
