RE: Hydrogen20 Jan 2026 07:49
Helix is carrying out testing to move the hydrogen story from geological theory to direct evidence. Until now, hydrogen potential has been inferred from rock types, mineralogy, and isotope work. Testing is about seeing what actually comes out of the well.
A basic formation test opens a specific interval and checks whether gas enters the well, what that gas is made of, and how the pressure behaves. It does not measure volumes or prove commerciality, but it can confirm the presence of hydrogen in the subsurface.
If hydrogen is detected in a mid case outcome, it means hydrogen is real at Rudyard, not just theoretical. That shifts hydrogen from a speculative idea to a credible upside option, which on its own could realistically increase the market capitalisation by 40 to 50 percent as risk is removed and future potential becomes tangible
I expect 12-15 m to be added to market cap from starting production and off take news . By the end of Feb the market cap should be a lot higher
