Tyrosine Kinase inhibition12 May 2018 07:53
I am intrigued that Valrix gets a mention. I have had surgery for GIST...and the treatment is lifelong inhibition using a tyrosine kinase inhibitor which stops the errant cells from multipying They need tyrosine kinase to multiply...have far too many receptors for tyrosine...and the tyrosine kinase blocker blocks the receptor and stops the cancer cell from using it.. Imatinib is a wonderful drug but it does not cure the cancer ,it only slows it down. So I am astonished to think that a valrix compound is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor...one day my bank balance and my health might both be on the up !!
