Those that do will prosper, IMO.
Starting February 5, 2024, Prime Video will display ads during film and TV show streaming unless you pay an additional monthly fee. Amazon claims it will have fewer ads than other platforms, but could this be the start of what will be a gradual increase in ad frequency? In contrast, ITV is seen as offering better value and ad balance. To enjoy ad-free Prime Video, an extra £2.99 per month (equivalent to £35.88 annually) is required on top of existing Prime and Prime Video membership costs. The total yearly cost rises from £8.99 to £11.99 (£143.88 annually), adding financial strain during a cost-of-living crisis, especially when factoring in the TV license fee. One thinks. many will ditch it!
