SHA222, I think it's irrelevant if the 25 participants took other types of medications. I interpret it to be about whether ANY patient (on the SNG018 trial or not) can consistently interpret and respond to the questions used to measure patient improvement.
It's about confirming validity of data recorded.

The 25 participants (not previous SNG018 trial participantsl) are interviewed for 90-120 mins, so it seems it's about ensuring the participants could correctly understand and presumably consistently respond to the questions being asked. I interpret this as being intended to provide supportive evidence that the questions used (and responses/info gathered) can be relied upon as valid data.

I am curious as to why this is a "pilot study" it implies to me that further more detailed studies around this subject will also be conducted.

Don't want to sound negative but is there a potential some of the patient recorded data could be a "bit fuzzy" (one of NDN's past phrases think?). At the time this pilot trial was instigated, I would have thought there would be info (at least anecdotal) as to how patients were finding it easy to provide clear feedback or otherwise.

BTW, I was not for a second suggesting the JVT event and potential SNG Sprinter results was historically planned to coincide, just that the two events are now hopefully so close that there could be a fortuous (now emminently sensible) connection.
Any positive media coverage has got to be good for Syn.

Hi Doc, although I generally agree with your sentiment regarding forecast dates, I think (as Elsol pointed out) that the fact JVT is from Southampton University hardly makes it "utterly spurious"
People will speculate but as you suggest it is still "early 2022" for quite a while yet so no-one should be disheartened if results are not out Monday.

"It should be noted, however, that the results from these primate animal models may not be easily translatable to human subjects. The nature of this experiment allowed treatment to begin within a few hours after infection, which would be difficult to replicate in human clinical studies or real-world settings. Further refinement of the inhaled remdesivir formula is necessary to ensure effective and safe antiviral treatment in humans"

Mat, from my very first post on this bb, I have found you courteous and knowledgeable, thanks for that and all the info you provide.
I have one comment around your post here, I seem to recall SNG stating they would update the market about Delta,and Omicron as soon as info was available ( think that's correct?), as such wouldn't you think they should and will issue this news imminently ?
I think they may throw it in for good measure ?
