You can't rely on production up and going in the time left. It will be reassuring no matter what you think gkb47 as it is CASH flow which is what its all about. No cash flow, more placements I shouldn't wonder and we all know what that leads to ! Get that cash coming in the sooner the better as there is a lot to be done this year.

Surprisingly gg19 one interview I watched recently pointed out that the explorers stand to benefit. Can't quite recall the details but the theory goes something like this. During a world recession holdings of gold will depress the GP for a while as funds etc look for liquidity in the short term. Meanwhile in recent years the production of gold has decreased steadily as a result of recent past starvation of exploration investment when gold had 'had its day' when confidence in gold was low and the dollar was riding high and funds were going into dollars. As a result the amount of gold will not increase despite any gold selling and as the recession / depression bites deeper gold/silver will once again become the safe haven and its the explorers who will reap the benefit and not necessarily the producers as they are the ones securing and discovering the gold that the producers will be desperate to produce to satisfy demand. As most of the exporers are pretty small they will have no problem raising funds and reap the benefit in a rise in share price. Similar sort of thing happened in the oil industry in the past where exploration companies benefitted ahead of supply shortages. Anyway its a only a theory from the 'experts' and I have a mistrust of these people anyway. This is why I like to hear all sides of the argument.

We are unlikely to see this share price 'wither on the vine' as it is still very popular at all levels of investment. I am grateful for that and with the gold price holding up I cant see any sustained drop in SP. Reading just about everythihg on gold the battle between the inflation and stagflation pundits means either way that gold will continue to hold up and hopefully increase.

Can't get away from the fact this is an AIM share and nothing changes on AIM when it comes to volatility. Judging by the last year this share has performed steadily and confidently but this I feel is just a blip back to type and we will soon return to growth. After all is said and done Scallywag has still the potential, just drilled the wrong spot but still plenty of targets to drill.

That a reaction like this is credible. You can be sure that many are rubbing their hands in anticipation. I know mining is speculative but this is ridiculous.

Something is coming all right but you can be sure the PIs will be the last to know about it. Having spent some time researching the past RNS fiascos I am extremely cynical about who the company has on board.

AIM is a funny ole market place. I try to go for stability and steady growth for most of my portfolio but am frequently surprised, not that I am complaining. AIM is mostly the opposite apart from a few gems like POW, or so I thought.

Croc - I have been through sll the history and have found it impossible to tie in the two disastrous placings with precise numbers. The first is too vague to get anywhere with but the second placing and DBs admission on video that it 'he was mad' at the way it went and that he couldn't do anything about it is and that admission that is significant. The RNS last Friday is my main target as apart from anything else rumours were repeated on here of a Monday RNS is more than a coincidence. Also the fact that UJO rise on Friday and nothing on Egdon but big rise on Egdon on the Monday / Tues and significant drop in our SP points to where the leak must have come from. Its a work in progress but will not let it rest I promise you. Whether or not anything comes of it is doubtful as you said but I live in hope. It ha happened to me before but with companies operating in dodgy jurisdictions but a company with the name Union Jack operating in UK under UK law makes it a stronger case. Embarassment IMO is not enough.

llove - Its a no-brainer. The (Humber) basin onshore extend east across the North Sea and there are many offshore fields along the route. Would seem logical, perhaps a little over simplistic but chances are on that fact alone that the area we are drilling is 'full of promise' . Technology and seismic have moved on since those days of early N.Sea discoveries, many offshore installations are being dismantled, production is falling, and the UK is desperate for oil/gas revenues. As I say its a no brainer.

Brocal, agree with what you say but I have invested in large numbers of AIM companies over very many years and I don't think I have ever come across so many blatant leaks from one company. Even if DB says there is nothing he or anyone can do I am losing patience.

I shall be writing to the company as I feel that there is something consistently rotten about their set up. In offshore parlance is 'get your ause out there and investigate. The sooner the better otherwise the punters, us, will completely lose faith in the company no matter how good the prospects'.

Watching the news sink in (not unexpected) and bringing in the locusts to do a bit of day trading on the backs of the promising future of UJO. Hope it will last today.

after ducking and diving last week or so. Nevertheless taken over the last year the SP has been remarkably consistent with steady rise throughout and only insignificant retraces. Underlying stability is the main feature of this share compared with other AIM miners. And a small matter of large gold discoveries of course. Onward and upward.
