Great post, thanks. I think they have a job on their hands to manage out this positive news flow. Could do with a good investors publicity article on them. It's always worth repeating the info to newcomers ... the positive cash flows from Nalunaq in the second half of 2009 will be a major step forward for them.
Some increased buying patterns here over the last few days...similar to those before the announcement of Caldaq and Financing. I wonder if we can expect a further update on finance very soon. More recently the share seems to be moving forward consistently since the 5p placing. Do you have any thoughts on the next stage, and or its strategy with TMC?
Evening all...another waiting day but news will be here soon I think. My reading of it is that these are buy orders being filled and separate to the 2p placing....but only my opinion. ENK had a recent placing (April 8th) at 5p much to dismay of some shareholders, especially those over on the iii board. But ENKs sps remained above that level and is climbing. The important thing is that the news flows from AGU have been very positive since the turn of the year, and very systematic in their delivery, and once the market fully grasps the connections and opportunities outlined in the news flows then I would expect a strong upward movement. Good luck all
I agree 10p by the end of the year is not out of the question. In fact depending on zinc prices we could achieve that sooner. We need to remember that an off take agreement is already in place. We have a new gold mine that will generate cash in the next few months. We have a world class zinc producing mine. We have contractors on board and We have a strong backing from Cyrus (to be confirmed) which will provide the necessary financing to deliver AGUs full potential.
My thoughts are that this is the second in a series of positive news stories about AGU and its re-direction. I would not be surprised if a detailed RNS in the Cirus funding follows very soon, even as early as this week... As you know, the RNS today was in line with their promise on 7th April to set out how it proposed to fund its new asset Naunaq. The Nalunaq Gold mine will be operational and produce cash flows for AGU in the second half of 2009...a turning point for Angus and Ross. I doubt very much that they would be taking on such a project if they were not certain that the risks were covered and that they could improve its profitability, either through operational efficiencies or its tie up with Black Angel Mine Developments...as well as this I understand there is strong desire in Greenland to support businesses. In addition, Zinc prices have been rising recently enhancing the viability of the BAM which is described as a world class asset in some sources. And all of this is before any announcement on Cirus who to date have been extremely supportive of AGU. I does seem baffling, though, how the markets receive news at times, even today at one point you could sell 1000 shares at 2.78 and at the same time buy 10000 at 2.755. .....and then up pop the 3mill + buys at 3p.. ...something is afoot....so I am staying put for now!! Good luck all and thanks for your postings, WG

....off to get my Escalado out of the attic, pin a few of your EPICs to the horses and start turning the handle, to see which on your list I should go for tomorrow. Hope EML wins...it will be all the confirmation I need. Regards, WG
http://www.minesite.com/companies/comp_single/company/angus-ross-plc.html Interesting background on minesite.com ... but you may need to register with minesite (though it's free). All recent info suggests Cyrus financing very supportive and talk within RNS of convertible loan stock....would like to see that set at a fair price above current sp. Their prize asset is the Black Angel Mine in Greenland The new gold mine acquisition announced on 7/4/09 has capacity for 350,000 oz over next 10 yrs In addition to what is available in public domain, a number have contacted A&R recently, who sound extremely positive about the future, and unlike other directors, those at A&G are willing to talk with shareholders. Some think that an RNS update may be out very soon.
A GUd strategy might be to watch for an RNS elsewhere next week.... WG

...I like the financials of this company. In the trading update from early March the CEO's states "Our financing capability, coupled with our expertise and the £40 million in equity we still have to invest on behalf of our clients puts the Group in a very strong position. We remain cautious but will take advantage of attractively priced property where we believe the rental streams to be secure." And some unusually high late buys today.......
I quite agree ! Wishing I'd been in on the 5p placing.... Hope things are well with you.
http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=20090408120600H4268 Shareholder approval ... the turkeys voted for Christmas ....and our shareholdings will be duly diluted at 8am tomorrow....but it's not all bad news.... Once the psychological effects of the 5p placing are well and truly out of the way we could see a very strong rise, and interesting to notice TMC, partly owned by ENK, is still going very strong.
I suspect it's being held back prior to Wednesdays 5p placing to fund next stepsof Caldag. After this we should see a correction northwards later this week and beyond. Huge potential here.
