Great Find Jim. As suggested, UK can ramp up BAMS capacity via purchase of new machines....and they are doing just that!!!!

IT might well be an expensive option (vs LFD home testing) however, assuming the S&S are at the very high end (which seems a given) then wouldn't the only obstacle to MASS population screening vis BAMS be capacity of existing machines? If new machines could be purchased, surely this would open the door to MASS screening with BAMS? I don't think cost is currently an issue to the UK GOV so could BAMS be an option for mass screening?

When BAMS is discussed, the following question is always asked "How many BAMS machines in each hospital/country'?

With the need for huge test volumes, shouldn't the focus be on how many machines could be purchased and installed at mass testing locations? With 1000 tests per 1 machine/tech per day, there may be an investment case to purchase multiple additional machines.

Any idea on the cost?
