Avacta Group could earn anything from $1/2bn to $1bn from an extended partnership with LG Chem Life Science, the Massachusetts-based subsidiary of the South Korean LG Group.

The windfall stems from additional drug development programmes utilising Avacta’s Affimer® XT technology.

The foundations were laid in December 2018 when the companies agreed to develop Affimer® therapeutics in several disease areas potentially worth over $300m to Avacta.

Now the drug development partnership is being extended to include Avacta’s Affimer XTTM technology, which can be used to control the time a drug spends in the circulation.

The expansion of the partnership includes an undisclosed additional upfront payment, plus near-term pre-clinical milestones and longer-term clinical development milestones totalling $98.5m for two therapeutics to be developed using the Affimer XT technology.

LG Chem has the exclusive rights to develop and commercialise, on a world-wide basis, Avacta’s Affimer PD-L1 inhibitor with Affimer XT serum half-life extension.

The new deal also provides LG Chem with rights to develop and commercialise other Affimer and non-Affimer biotherapeutics combined with Affimer XT half-life extension for a range of indications and Avacta could earn up to $55m in milestone payments for each of these new products.

Have said for months that BAMS could be the perfect tool for mass population testing and seems the UK GOV now agree. How many other governments will follow suit following clinical validation?

Do we know how many of the home delivery tests the government is currently processing per day? I'd see this as the immediate target market with potential for exponential growth as the gov switch to mass survelance.

Vs PCR, it is not only 4 times cheaper, but the saliva collection will provide much greater accuracy vs people swabbing their own tonsils.

Seriously, the LFT while great, is not necessary to support a value well in excess of the current.

BAMS has/will derisk this significantly....and, critically, showcase the Affimer as a gold star diagnostic reagent.

Just strange that it's 10k, which is the same size as out test batch

Around 10,000 tests are expected to arrive before the end of the week, with the rollout of testing to begin on Monday (November 23).

Could that be our first 10k batch?

Probably the biggest news we could receive would be tech transfer combined with new manufacturing partners. News that increases our capacity to produce 100s millions per month will see a big re rate

Assuming we receive an rns tomorrow stating tech transfer is now complete and assuming we receive, as Sir Al promised, a clear timeline to sales, I fancy us to break all time highs.

Hopefully we receive additional news related to the significant commercial progress and perhaps Asian sub contracting.

Moderna was the first to enter into an agreement with Avacta to use the Affimer technology, in tandem with Moderna’s mRNA drug delivery platform. Moderna has just disclosed Phase I trial data for its mRNA technology which is the first public evidence that it works, which meaningfully de-risks the partnership plans to deliver Affimer therapeutics using mRNA

But they advised the moderna target was 'undiclosed'

Do avct know what Moderna are using the Affimer for?

They partnered with Avacta and are working on an 'undisclosed' target.

Their RMNA Vaccine uses a 'carrier' to deliver the Rmna and the detail of the 'carrier' has been highly confidential.

Can you imagine the carrier was the Avct Affimer?
