"Sorry, but the Government publicly announced some years ago that no bank is TBTF. They learned from 2008. Bail in means your shares go for zero."
They did......until the TBTF do fail, maybe more than one. My view is if they fail, that's it! as it was in the past. Reality will be bailout and bailin
Morning TFE
Always well capitalized according to models, until the next credit event. The one they didn't see coming - hidden ones.
Throwing easy or easier money at problems doesn't fix problems, it creates bigger holes - growth will come with a healthy consumer, that's a long way off.
"Government no longer have the need to worry about a bank collapsing, they haven't had to for years. The legislation is in place to bale in rather than bale out. So, if a bank goes bust, kiss your shares goodbye."
Small banks yeah....but TBTF banks?.....I doubt that.
More mal-investment more subprime, more risk taking in an already risky world - rinse repeat.
Smacks of desperation, what could possibly go wrong - Big Bang Bust.
Anyway, you don't have to own the shares
Stage
Sunak now on borrowed time, don't rule out a snap General Election in 2023."
Snap election or not, it will fix nothing. It's a global problem caused by you know what.
An election whenever it occurs, you can bank on more promises, more handouts, more bailouts, more free cheap money, more of whatever it takes to gain power.
Whatever it takes - except take it on the chin. More of the same I'm afraid, and the biggest thing they can't control, which is the biggest thing making up GDP.....well, they're on the case to control that too.
Desperate times desperate measures.
Morning Theo
My passport was 2 years old, the French trashed it with stamps, now on a new one with additional pages. Did I care?not a bit. Good coms, customs agents and your off to the races. The resentment in EU land that the UK fcked off is still there, but who cares, life goes on.
When the serious bickering starts, expect more blue passports on the horizon - inevitable.
I wouldn't share my chainsaw - would you?
It's not just the French. I and a few others were caught up in a Belgian police sting operation, looking for people traffickers on the border. All dressed in black masks, flash lights in your face, all tooled up - hands in the air and all that crap. Looking for engines and boat parts, 2 way radios, to contact migrants. Still, nice fellows once I convinced them we were whiter than Persil, even escorted and help load the fags.
The Intel was interesting..... very.
Bandit alley
"And your money will be date and time stamped with the ability to put on an expiry date - use it or lose it."
Old news. Spoken and talked about on here years ago.
