Is over 4% of issued and notifiable is it not. The fact your 'partner' holds with you doesn't change the fact that you will have to have notified that you jointly hold that many. So are you HSDL Nominees as they are the only holders near that threshold.

I wrote repeatedly to my mp before the collapse about the obvious fraud that was taking place in setting Afren up to fail and take the assets from the pi's. He was 'moderately' helpful but no more than that and tbh I hold no hope at all that we will ever see the guilty parties held to account. And the worst thing is we knew damn well what the bod in concert with the institutions were doing but were unable to get the support to stop them.

It's AIM. And LSE. Sadly this market is far too open to manipulation, and it is endlessly manipulated by some. Leaving LSE isn't really the answer though, all that does is leave the ones who are left at the mercy of the manipulators without anyone talking sense to them.

I like this share. I've been here a few years but always thought it had potential and it's now getting there.

I've been holding for almost 4 years already. I'll be retiring in something like 5 years I hope, and if this comes good then it can be my retirement present to myself :-)

The RNS's are issued daily as a minimum wth an update on the offer value at yesterdays closing prices.

Maybe something to do with the imminent takeover?

I still can't understand how overlooked this share is. With a potential market of billions and news like this procudes only a 4.5% tick up.

I hold my cwc with TD Direct in one of their simple accounts trading on FTSE 350 and spoke to them about my holding the Liberty shares. They told me that even though I can not trade US with that account I can hold the Liberty shares in it, after completing a paper W-8BEN, and then if I wish to sell at a later date they will trade them at their normal rate for that account by phone. Will not be able to trade online but because I'm not holding Liberty by choice (except for accepting the paper instead of selling now that is) they will not penalise me.

Naproxen is the most commonly prescribed nsaid for gout worldwide I believe. If the reformulation works, as I am sure it will, then it will be a huge market globally. GLA and I'm here for the longer run.

For ibuprofen and naproxen is massive. If commercialisation of those 2 is close then I really think this will take off. I use naproxen like sweeties at times to help my gout and the incident of gout is rocketing just now due to general health issue in the UK and US,

I may be biased of course, I'd use naproxen like sweeties if I could for gout and the currently ruptured achilles :-)

It does raise questions about that 1 million buy 2 weeks ago though. MM's playing games with us all again no doubt. Onwards and upwards, GLA. 15p + will make me quite happy just in time for xmas.

AS someone from Greatland Gold who has been right royally mugged by baxter I suggest all holders here get out and get out now. The bloke is useless. Just look at GGP's history. I've lost over 85% in there.

Next diary event? Unless we SH's call an EGM ourselves I suspect we either wait for the RNS announcing liquidation or we wait for the board to call a meeting. In the meantime - If any shareholder or interested party in Afren PLC can provide any factual information of any event involving the company that they feel should either be reported to the regulatory authorities or that they feel has unnecessarily damaged the value of the company, please can they collate the information and forward it accordingly or instead send directly to the FCA/ SF
