Agreed, and you would think that an ii or HL would be happy to speak to POLY BOD seeing as they have continued to trade the LSE stock all the way through. Yesterday I found out that approx 50% of shares are UK based that would be over 235 million shares worth, the income from that has got to be an attractive proposition ??

Yes, Roxy my understanding is exactly that, it is not a question of share ownership, dividends or voting on Corp. Actions, it is purely one of tradeability and whether the shares can be held (Retained) in ISAs and SIPPS.

Well that would not be such great news as unless they can redom, as I understand it, they cannot free up the remaining NSD shares, they cannot move money out of Russia (To an unfriendly entity) and they cannot therefore pay any dividends on the same basis. Redom IS, I believe the way forward but we need to have brokers in place who can accept out ISAs and SIPPS and who will trade POLY on the AIX before it happens. If that can be achieved, happy days.

Rylidan, I agree with all that you say, did you check with HL to see if they will deal with AIX? and hold them in your ISA and SIPP?

Jock, I think you may have misunderstood. The redon proposal will be ready April/May, will be put to the vote and can be executed by July/August, all this year.

It is the asset split that will not happen until 2024.

What we need is a Broker who can hold our ISAs and SIPPS who also trades in shares on the AIX, it really is that simple.

After all the turmoil of yesterday, I decided to do some digging attempting to prioritise where we stand, and indeed could stand should the redom be approved. I for one am holding all my shares in ISAs and my SIPP so I want to know that if I have to complete a stock exchange from the UK to AIX listed shares, can I still hold them in those tax advantageous wrappers. The first article link explains, essentially that as long as the Stock exchange that the Company's shares are listed on is HMRC approved then yes, you can hold the shares within the tax free wrappers of SIPPs and ISA's

Having read both, I my interpretation is that we could POLY shares listed on the AIX within our tax advantageous wrappers.

SP Range seems to be holding between 220 and 230 for the last 40 minutes or so, dare I even start to think that this might be stabilising, hope so.

All fair points John, and whilst Red is also right, after the war there would be nothing to stop them applying for a GDR in the UK to allow UK shareholders to trade more easily and that could well be the motivation behind keeping up the standards.

I emailed EM at Inv Relations this morning with a whole host of questions along the lines of my post at the start of this thread. (I emailed them before I did my research and then again afterwards to clarify what I had found) When we were chatting yesterday he took time to emphasise he is also a shareholder so I asked him where he holds his shares? On the LSE was his reply "So I am in the same boat as you" that does give me some comfort.

I shall let you know what the reply is once he has had time to digest the info I sent through.

Chique, I think that POX 3 is part of the "Worst case scenario planning" so KAZ assets could operate totally independently from russian assets if required.

Red, I do not know that answer to that question, but I am fairly certain that we can hold AIX shares in SIPPS and ISAs.

Dan, so it would be up to HL whether they will hold the AIX version of POLY shares or up to you to tell them too, sorry I just didn't quite get the handle on your post, thanks
