QuickDip, yes agreed about the year charts. On the 18/03/20 price dropped to 90 recovered to 105 on the 19th. Since then there have only been 6 days where NEX has closed below 117. This has got to be the bottom surely?!?!?

I see no negatives in there at all, debt management looks good on track for net debt ebitda ratio of 1.5 to 2 by 2025. Fuel hedged 100% for 2023 and 56% for 2024 even bobd refinancing is included for later this year. Contract wins and renegotiation to help with cost of wages going up, sales figures huge compared to last year with busy period on us bus contracts in Sept still to come and productivity increases coupled with cost reductions to start showing benefits this year. Fantastic q1 results and commentary, so I agree with Paddy, watch it drop...this is NEX after all:)

No they don't and this is the problem. You can hold shares listed on the AIX in tax free wrappers yes but as of yet there are no UK brokers who trade on the AIX or who will let you hold shares on the aix and trade otc. If you move your shares offshore to kaz they cannot offer isa wrappers so you will lose that benefit. Things may have changed by 10th May update but this is the current situation as I understand it. I can't believe people have not yet investigated this.

As I see this, the inflationary pressure on wages has already been agreed with the 16% wage increase agreement. 50% of fuel is hedged for 2023 and only 20% of the debt is susceptible to rates changes, the rest is fixed. They will renegotiate contractual increases due to inflation to cover their inflation related cost increases.

Guys I mean a 12% return on investment in dividends alone. Yield is based on current share price at the time of the divi so I prefer to look at what I paid for my shares and use that to calculate my roi or I guess fixing the share price at what I paid for my shares and calculating a yield from that point. My av is 128p. So a 15p divi at a share price of 300 would give you a 5% yield. But a 15p divi at a sp of 128 gives you a 12% roi as long as the divis are paid irrespective of the capital gain, that's just the way my brain works :)

Also, reading the annual figures from 2022 they are committed to retaining a x2 dividend cover which in essence means that they are happy to return 50% of the FCF back to shareholders moving forwards. The other 50% they will use for debt repayment and capital investment. They have also stated that it is their policy to pay one third of the final dividend as the interim dividend moving forwards. This is all very sensible in my book they have return to dividends and paying down debt as their main two priorities moving forwards, all very sensible. Bearing in mind that only 20% of their current debt is susceptible to interest rate movements, the other 80% is fixed and of course we all hope that interest rates may start to come down later this year. This really is a very well run company and I think it has a long long way to go. If they get back to 2019 pre covid dividend levels then at my average purchase price it would translate to a 12% ROI, I'll take that!

Hi there, I am new to this board, but not to the usual conspiracy theories of LSE boards in general. Nor am I new to NEX. It is useful I think to revisit some presentations from the past in order to pick up different nuances from them I think. I know this has been widely discussed but I was re-reading the full year docs from earlier in the year and I just wanted to say what a very clever bunch the BOD are. How they separated the operating side of the business accounts from the separately disclosed items was very clever, showing a positive outlook for the company with good results and yet indicating an annual loss due to the separate items just when they were negotiating with unions. One off items such as the amortisation of goodwill from businesses they have bought etc etc. is smart.

Clever people running a good business, I love it! At this price, this will be a long term hold for me.
