RE: Great start to the week for POLY19 Dec 2022 13:26
Lol,
BB, I have a question as I am clearly missing something I think - honestly I must be, I am not simply being obtuse.
Why would releasing the NSD shareholders be bad for all the other shareholders? They are in the same situation as us and stand to gain just as much as us from a split, so why wouldn't they vote for one? (And I think your point is that they would not support a split) They, like us will get like for like shares in 2 companies to decide what to do with. They, like us can buy more of either or both, or neither company, just like we will be able to do. They will, just like us, most likely see the POLY K assets shoot up and the POLY R sink (At least until 2024 when POLY R is expected to go FCF +'ve)
What am I missing? why would anybody want to block the split? because without it we cannot return to dividend payments, at least not in the short term.
Please explain, in really simple terms for me (For I am a simply person) what reason would the newly exchanged share holders have to block an asset split?
Cheers, Westy
