Interesting post Worzel and good reading. I've been investing for 30 years now and not made my fortune exactly but some 'winnings' from the dot com era did change my life. To be a successful trader take a lot fo experience hence my reason nowadays for keeping to secure (hopefully) medium term investments. Honestly I have to chuckle when I read some of the rubbish spouted by so called investors. They really could lose their money slower if they just flushed cash down the bog, Take a look at INTU today. It's been in trouble for a while and has only been a shorting stock for a while. A our gamble is to buy but what on earth are they thinking?

Anyway here is not a trading stock although when finance is announced I might allow myself a little trade, but not much of my holding. Depends on what news has been announced and whether the 'sell on news' mantra could work.

Peggy - why would they be under some obligation to RNS start of drilling? That basically means nothing. More important to announce results or whatever other juicy stuff is in the pipeline.

Tobin - why do you keep comparing SXX to us? What are the similarities apart from EML having a fantastic long term future and SXX in the sh*t

Regarding finance here, if you listen to the various interviews from HL, he's very confident it's virtually a given.

Yes agreed BS. As Cattleman alluded to, its no good seeing a 5p spike if we then retrace again. As you say 5p base to move on from there would be perfect.

A year ago we were at about 2.3p, similar to todays levels. 23rd July 2019 we hit 5p. No reason why the same can't happen over the next few weeks - and more!!

I agree Wasa JM did mention the 100m subject. Maybe we'll still get to the figure as financing approaches (of which i have no doubt). AIM is a weird beast, it could easily do that.

Wasa - i've never seen financing as an issue. If I thought it was then I might not have invested. It's been banded about that major investors won't look at a company below £100m Mcap. That might be true to a certain extent but then you only have to look at ARCM which has just tempted a Swedish pension fund to snap up virtually 1/2 the recent placing and their Mcap is just over £20m. TBH I'm not considering the Mcap issue now. Just waiting for financing and see where that takes us.

I know the MC £100m has been mentioned a lot. I think it won't matter what the Mcap is when "the trigger is pulled" as you say Fulmar. 100m is after all just a figure.

I reckon you've been on the sauce at the weekend Tobin. You really amenity making a lot of sense. Your research (if you've done any) seem sot relate to another company and certainly not EMl

Sportbilly - I'm aware of the AAZ price story which has been meteoric over the past 3/4 years. Not familiar with its fundamentals though. Do we compare favourably with AAZ? You'd say we're capable of a similar performance over the next 2/3 years?

Good luck to you Unexpect3D. If you're patient then i'd like to think you'll reap the rewards over the next couple of years. I certainly have great confidence in Hayden and EML. If you've listened to his recent interviews then hopefully you feel the same.

My take on it is very simple. It's confirmed this will be a fantastic medium/long term investment especially if we go all the way to production. There's always the chance in the meantime of an offer coming in. I'll just continue to buy as and when I can and look forward to a couple of years time, or sooner. One for the bottom drawer

I guess at this time we have to accept something good is coming, otherwise it's pretty unimpressive to be rewarding yourself for failure. The strike price is virtually irrelevant but in this case it gives them almost guaranteed short term cash in hand. Their reward for a job well done so far? But I suspect more than that.

Agreed. Options are a "payment" to the directors (of no par value) as opposed to them openly buying shares.

I'm very happy like others for the directors to be amply rewarded, but they now need to deliver for their investors/shareholders. It doesn't looking good if you keep rewarding yourself and not delivering. But I have every faith in Nick and his colleagues that this summer should be a good one for everyone. He has put the pressure on himself though, which makes me think he's very confident.
