Unions have18 Jun 2018 08:32
Moved on from the 70s but the managements perception has not. Being a committee member myself, I have pointed out to the hierarchy of copious amounts of waste and money loosing decisions that have been made by management below who seem to be inept at management but excel in hiding the truth from those above. A successful company means my job as union rep has been successful in helping to keep the working members families fed and watered. With a roof over their heads. Sure we see the excessive abuse of wages to those seen as non productive staff, we know they have a job to do however most of them work by their nature of pure greed and selfishness trying to climb the greasy pole to success. Justifying it to themselves however they do.... I suggest it’s not the unions that are now holding this country back but the greed is good attitudes of middle to top management. Ying and Yang springs to mind,, to much ying in the 70s and too much yang now. The union saved our company over £200,000 this year in waste and cost cutting. What have the middle managers done? Got the bonuses.. well done capitalism.. greed is definitely not good for the U.K..
