Or Poland and the likes could go in without there being an attack on a Nato country leading this all to one huge Balkans of a battle with the west just helping from the rear.
As with all things North Sea related when isn’t weather an important factor? They are obviously analysing the turbines (as was the plan after time in the field) and making evaluations on perhaps improving the future models. That’s the way cutting edge technology usually develops in line with a business model. Personally it would not surprise me if they announce a new model being positioned instead. Just an opinion nothing factual as is most of this BB at the moment.
ATB.
Obviously with Welsh local government encouraging recycling etc and plastic becoming more of an asset there is gold in them there valleys. Local council could make a small fortune just from giving the go ahead on this project. It’s a win win for everyone.
Here we go again. It’s your money but the agreement we came to at our last gathering, was the peasants can have crumbs while we have our cake and then some. Back door bonuses for us, back door communism for the meek.
A quick walk down the road on google earth should tell you this is a positive.
Hoovering all those loose and frail ones as in shares not power stations just to confirm.
I think not only will USK get the go ahead, I think the markets will grumble when SAE pick up another coal power station on the cheap saying they’ve bitten off even more than they can chew to peg that price down and hoover up all those loose and frail ones.
4 me. Yes I’m still here not wishing to interrupt the idle conversation.
Part of the plan perhaps. I seen Modi and Johnson having a long discussion and giving a big warm welcome at COP26. India has a huge carbon footprint even when comparing it against USA and Germany. Our man Gupta surely has ties to India and I wager a sum that India would be the first place to take this concept up.
Correct me if I am a bit behind in my political speech recognition but the get out clause in that statement would be the word “NEW”. You could also interpret the word “NEW” coal mine opening in the UK to mean “OLD” coal power stations maybe being fired up.once again. Now that also would be a turn up for the books. Especially now focus is on powering our own steel industry. Ahem. Ahem. What was the aim of our USK project once again? I seem to recall it was to offer a certain business the efficiency of having power supplied from a direct source. I might be wrong (raised eyebrows).
Does sound like it’s right up SAE’s street literally location wise. It could be a possibility that it’s part of the USK carbon capture calculations and it involves our type of tech. MyGen project had hydrogen capabilities too. I’m putting 2 and 2 together and have come up with a different sum at the moment. It’s 4 reasons why it could be + 0 reasons why it couldn’t be. However caution needs to be added when doing math in this game. ATB.
Wow convb slow the world down FFS. You are the epitome of a crack head conspiracy theorist on acid. Tin foil hats for clutching at straws please.
I just went with energy sector as housing problem was being highlighted by HMG and in steps lloy. If you were at the top what business listed or not but British owned would you buy with say a spare £5.5 billion you happened to have lying around? Just for fun and line I said trying to lighten the tone for a Sunday.
I was just wondering if it there was any laws against it now that lloy seem to have broken the mold and is now reverting to its initial ways of old. Banks also give business loans don't they and that you could argue would also suit lloy business model perhaps I guess even if it's not energy sector lloy could now choose to step into any sector it chooses on the business loan guise. I'm thinking it's the next logical step now the first has been taken
Thanks gentlemen and women who cared to show me the maths. I've never claimed to be an expert here, far from it. Trying to alter the tone of this msg board somewhat, can someone explain why lloy opted to find and build 50000 houses instead of funding an energy project of some sort seeing as it feels like Russia has us on the ropes over this (Ref: The Marr show today) or will it/can it be the next step for a bank? I would be interested to learn from your thoughts. Regards.
Just wondering how Co2 write offs work if anybody can enlighten me. Is it the business or the country that has to trade its Co2? For example Shell Oil will compensate its oil and gas collection with putting up wind turbines here there and everywhere claiming to be a company that is near or at the least heading to Net Zero. Could Simec claim USK is net zero if taking into account the MyGen and future Japanese and French Tidal arrays when in production? Obviously the new CC tech to be deployed at USK would add to this. Or would it be the case that only the CC that resides in Wales can be used in the calculation.
If I were to hazard a guess it would be that Gupta and Co will make a play for 51% of the business get it cheap, then low and behold Cameron’s mate gets approval for USK. It’s anybody’s guess what’s going to happen here but all opinions are exactly that. Huge pinch of Himalayan rock salt all round.
A nice update about the x4 AR500 being put back in motion would suffice. Over 3GW generated already. Japan’s AR500 kicking in too would be good. The AR500’s from MyGen were always going to be pulled from my recollection of past RNS’s to run tests on durability etc. Get them turbines up and running ASAP and thus could quite easily reach those dissy heights of 10p. Some big waves coming our way over the winter months and not just in the oceans. I for one can not afford to heat with LNG with a gas bill of an extra £110 a MONTH. If you are in a contract with your supplier lucky you but rest assured EVERYONE is going to be absolutely miffed when it comes to renewal time.
I’m wondering how long we have to wait, either accept or reject. Personally I would prefer a reject tomorrow rather than an accept in a further 6 month or so. Just get on with it so we can concentrate on the business core activities.
I posted before I got the sort date msg, I see what you mean now. I can’t read all the report and have requested a pdf. If only to better understand where we are at with Uskmouth, but like I said AR5000 is where this company’s future is. IMHO.
