I can understand the focus on M&A potential activity, but don't forget there is an equally lucrative Joint Venture and/or licensing opportunity.

It may not be the explosive share value increase for the short term, but the long term dividend and growth (especially in accessing the non Covid diseases/viruses) over time. In many ways the non M&A potential could in the long run dwarf any short term buy out premium.

Make no mistake, this is an achievement. A real and very impressive achievement.

To take a small AIM company through the Pandemic, pivot from COPD to produce or fabulous stage 2 results, move on from there and complete our 'at home' trial. Engage with the US and have SNG001 included in their (US funded) ACTIV-2 trial, now progressed to stage 3. Raise the cash required and now complete a worldwide stage 3 trial for SNG001.

All this done against the headwinds thrown up by the very pandemic we are trying to combat. Finding trial participants when the available 'pool' of volunteers is eroded by the muscle of big brand name pharma, government sponsored trials of dubious quality and hospitals / health systems overburdened with little time to do more than fight fire. Supply chain issues, travel restrictions etc. etc.

Yes we have a special team who deserve our thanks.

Oh, and don't miss out on the really clever bit! RM has found time and resource to build a team capable of taking our little company on the next journey. They are all in place, engines running, and will be out on the playing field as soon as they are able.

If a major pharma is looking ahead at the global sales potential here, they may find it difficult to build a position now. That is without paying a good price.....

My guess is that Polygon will keep adding below around £2.

@Beforegolf, My guess is that they wanted to get something out PDQ to respond after the UK allowing Merck's pill. Selective reporting done in haste methinks.

Still, it's a similar form - mild/moderate and within the initial 5 day window. I think they wanted to get their 90% figure out there to trump Merck's 50%. Too much detail missing IMO.

Agreed @thelearner, I have seen NCM as a takeover target for some time now. Great assets, great prospects. SB has positioned NCM for growth and has done a great job, but the share value is too low.

To see Van Eck building a position is v interesting IMO, trying to wrap my head around any knock on effects for us!
