Thanks TT, I did the same. Managed to buy at 14.61 direct into my SIPP.

Still not happy, though. Promoting a completely open PI solution (as opposed to a properly structured Rights Issue) has put additional shares in the hands of traders (rather than LTH with sticky holdings). Creating increased volatility IMO.

I agree @Sojourner. But, having held my shares for some time (in ISA and SIPP), I find that I am at the wrong end of this GGP sponsored lottery and am unable to take full advantage.

Any PI (with or without an existing holding) who happens to have the cash available can take advantage, but loyal holders are precluded.

A normal Rights Issue would have done the trick.

Allowing ALL existing shareholders to participate (using their existing account in ISAs SIPPs etc.) and allowing enough time for them to shift capital about to do this.

The method chosen is simply a lottery. If you happen to have the cash in your current account to transfer or you don't. With markets closed and the aggressive deadline, most are unable to realise cash by selling something else.

A big question over disallowing retail investors their existing broker (denying the use of ISAs and SIPPs) and directing all the retails investors to a monopolistic provider only.

Does this retail offer using an app preclude all of us who would wish to use their ISAs and/or SIPPs?

If this is so, then we need to make GGP aware that this is not the way to deal with their retail investors.
